Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

nutty,
Mr. Mister's Go On is an excellent recording. Not exactly driving music, but very thoughtful and powerful. I think I'll listen to it tonight.
Guitarissimo / Phil Manzanera. I had almost forgotten how good this music is.
Martin L. Gore, Counterfeit e.p. (excellent)
Luka Bloom, Riverside  (nice to revisit)
My second concert was Mountain, when I was a sophomore during the Climbing tour, and it was vey exciting. I saw them another time after that, and then Leslie and Corky with Jack Bruce when I was in college.
Great Expectations - Tasmin Archer. A really great disc from beginning to end.

geoffkait,

I love Roxy Music's "For Your Pleasure". When CDs were new, that was only available as an import, and I pair $25.00 for it at Third Street Jazz in Philly. I was happy to do so. What great music!

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick.

Also listening to a lot of Christmas music. Love it.

"Alice In Chains, “Dirt”

IMHO, their best record."

Agreed. A true masterpiece, and that is a very rare thing.
John Mayall - Jazz Blues Fusion

This is fantastic live music recorded wonderfully. Get it!
n80,
He’s great, isn’t he? I love that recording too. He’s in a way like the anti-Dylan to me. He understands that melodies matter, and that keeping variety in instrumentation and contrasting textures and colors helps to tell the story and make music emotional and engaging. Never boring.
