Jefferson Airplane - Crown of Creation

1968/2015 RCA Victor/Friday Music Remaster

Lu Watters And The Yerba Buena Jazz Band – Blues Over Bodega (Fantasy 1964)

~ rocking jazz and a solid recording.

Louis Nelson, Alton Purnell, Barry Martyn – In Germany With The White Eagle Jazz Band (G.H.B. 1986)

Jane Morgan With Orchestra Conducted By Frank Hunter – Jane In Spain (Kapp 1959)

Georgia Brown – Sings Kurt Weill (London 1962)

~ both wonderful albums. G. Brown is recommended.

Roger Daltrey - Ride A Rock Horse

ELP - Works   I wish they had done a better job mastering/plating/pressing this album.  The music is wonderful but the record & vinyl quality is just OK.  Not horrible, but could be better.

Both of these albums I have had since they first released.  I'm getting older...

Heading to Mammoth Mountain in the morning, skiing for the rest of the week.  Enjoy the music, guys.

Steve Hackett - Please Don't Touch

Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Braodway

Ultravox - Vienna (Instrumental Steven Wilson mix)

Steve, I think "Starlight Walker" is my current favorite from the Silver Jews. Great album.

sbank, +1 for Laura Marling, Once I was an eagle!

Sonic Youth / Daydream Nation (box set)

Chick Corea-Return To Forever Side 1

Maria Muldaur-ST-Side 2

Barry Manilow-2:00 AM Paradise Cafe-Second Set

Santana-Freedom-Side 1

Angela Bofill-Intuition Side 1

Lamb Of God-Killadelphia Side 4

George Shearing-Mel Torme-An Elegant Evening Side 1 SQ Audiophile

Wings-Greatest Hits Side 1

Despite only 1 marginal Audiophile SQ recording the music still prevailed. The only subpar SQ recording was Killadelphia as expected but the angst/violence still channeled thru me like I was 19! Santana and Angela’s LP’s were both overlooked late 80’s recordings that could be there best of the decade.

Miss those days, and frankly miss those feels.

but the angst/violence still channeled thru me like I was 19!

Re: Starry Eyes—Good power pop song and LP

+19  @noromance

Occasionally I do enjoy some extreme metal. Cathederal/Cradle Of Filth/Trivium and Crowbar are good starting points to feel 19 again!

Back to music. My cherished vintage Belles 400A amp ‘blew-up’ (well, more like a pop, flash, along with a burning smell) on me last week, so had to get an emergency amp in until something more permanent is chosen.

Chausson - Trio Pour Piano, Violon Et Violoncelle, Op. 3 / Pièce Pour Violoncelle Et Piano, Op. 39. Jean-Claude Pennetier, piano / Régis Pasquier, violin / Roland Pidoux, cello. Harmonia Mundi 1984 French release

@slaw

I will Steve. I just received a B&K ST3030 200 wpc mosfet amp for a pretty good deal. It actually sounds pretty darn good. Better than the 400A in some respects. The B&K’s are real ‘sleepers’ IMO. Had a 125.2 before, so figured it would be acceptable, or more so. No matter what, the ST3030 will be a back-up in the future.

Brian, bummer news but glad your speakers are okay. About your old amp I mean. 😎

@bkeske

Chausson - Trio Pour Piano, Violon Et Violoncelle, Op. 3

A most tasteful selection sir.

Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs

@bslon

Absolutely Bill. The main fuse blew, didn’t effect the speaker terminal’s or their fuses.

I use to have a B&K EX-442. Very respectable amp. I have an unmodified McCormack 225 in reserve. Got to have a backup in this business.

Michael Tilson Thomas conducts Debussy - Images Pour Orchestre & Prélude À "L'Après-midi D'un Faune". Boston Symphony Orchestra. Deutsche Grammophon 1971 German release

I've been out of town for a few days with only my Bluesound speakers to listen to. It's great to be back and spin some vinyl!

Wayne Shorter - Speak No Evil

Antal Dorati conducts Respighi - The Pines Of Rome & The Fountains Of Rome. Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. Mercury Living Presence 1963

Wow, what a fantastic recording and performance

Ordered an Audiomods arm for the KD-650. I know we all say it, but this could be the one that sticks around for a good long time.
