Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
I read that earlier James. Our mutual friend here, @bdp24 , chimed in on the subject thread. Check it out...
Jim,  Yes, and I’m now realizing that @bdp24 may have already mentioned their move.  Anyway, big sale.  Will be nice to have them closer, especially if they open a listening room(s).
I also caught “Count Me In” the other night.   My first thing to say about it is that it was partially redeemed by Stewart Copeland’s participation in the project.  I mean, as for the rest, they are drummers of course, but with the exception of this solo:

I found them all pretty uninspiring.

I tell you guys, this Kinks,"Live" lp is killer!.
Maybe not the last word in terms of SQ, but the music and the performance, really makes up for that.
yes, but nobody likes to miss a good sale ! i get the emails, but good on ya. I also use the record cleaning solution they make / sell.
Tried it Jim. The results were negligible, in terms of integrating it into my tried n true cleaning regime
I learn so much from you guys.  Really appreciate you.
This (rough mix) is truly fine folk music.
BTW, I cannot be held accountable for awareness of anything posted on Agon except from this thread. That notwithstanding, I do think I remember bdp mentioning something here about that store moving. Suggest we meet there if / when they have an opening.

You give me too much credit, bro. It happens to be an issue in lp playback that I know can make a difference with knowledge and experience.
Spent time on the home theater side last night.  Rented the blue ray disc of "Cruella".  On a Disney budget I expected it to be good.  It's a blast of a movie.  The music soundtrack is worth it alone.  I really enjoyed the movie and highly recommend it.  Good PG movie, no sex and no violence, just fun.

Some vinyl before bedtime...

Eurythmics  "Touch"  Annie Lennox is just so masterful with her voice.

The Doobie Brothers  "Livin' On The Fault Line"

Dire Straits  "Love Over Gold"

These are all original, period press issues.
@mammothguy54, hoping for a good outcome for you tomorrow.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Tonight is Soul Sunday...Al Green Greatest hits on LP....Then Funk it Now boxset on CD....

Welcome @dredison  Yeah, that Phoebe Snow album is great.  She is great.  Stick around, you will greatly enjoy this thread.

George Benson  "Breezin"

Paul Simon  "There Goes Rhymin' Simon"

Both are period pressings, I have had since they were first released.  In perfect, NM condition.  Beautiful music...

OK, here I go.  Dinner, early to bed, early rise and off to hand surgery.  Damn, I am not looking forward to this.  Thanks everyone, for the kind words and well wishes.  I hope to be flipping vinyl in a few days.
@mammothguy54 best of luck, I’m sure it will be fine in due time.

Lots of vinyl today to break in the new AT VM740ML (I wish AT would just use cute little names like oyster and otello).

@noromance Brian, be interested to know what you think of the new phenom, Sierra Ferrell?

Jennifer* – I Can Remember Everything (Parrot 1968)

Jennifer Warnes first album. Even then her recordings were excellent. Very good album.
Malicorne – Malicorne (Hexagone 1975)

A kind of French Steeleye Span crossed with Alan Stivel. Nice.
Mireille Mathieu – Mireille... Mireille (Barclay 1968)

French female singer with a style cross between Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel. Only a lot prettier. Imagine a chateau with the casement windows thrown open on a sunny morning.
