Both from parents collection.  Unplayed for decades. Cleaned up very nicely with a wet bath clean and vacuum.
Tom Petty - Echo. I forgot to set the speed back from 45 RPM and it sounded like Alvin and the Chipmunks for a minute.
due to inspiration above

Thin Lizzy - Vagabonds Kings Warriors Angels - Disc 2

Jailbeak…… 40 on preamp….War Dept. MIA

I've made the mistake of playing a 45 at 33 more than once.  "Hey, that sounds really weird!  Oh, I know why..."

Wings,  Wild Life  I have had this since it first released.  Wonderful!

Ambrosia,  S/T  Also, since it first was released.  Awesome!

Tim Weisberg,  Dreamspeaker  I really enjoy this album.

The Cars, Heartbeat City  Inspired by this thread I bought this album last week and it arrived today.  Now my Cars collection is 3 albums, which makes more sense.  Looks like it has never been played.  But still, I cleaned it before playing.  Fantastic pressing, quiet vinyl, and a fantastic album.  And for only $10 (plus shipping).  What a score!
Heartbeat City is one of my favorites Joel. I have a number of different copies.
Tipper Gore was featured on "Frank Zappa Meets The Mothers Of Prevention" album, back in the day :-)

Joel,
"Wildlife" has always been my favorite from "Wings". It wasn't nearly as polished as their other albums.

Howlin' Rain / Magnificent Fiend
Score Joel !

Jorma Kaukonen - Ain’t In No Hurry ( server ) This is lovely…dusted off…

The Music Group Of London, Janet Craxton obe, Jennifer Partridge piano, Ian Partridge Tenor : Vaughan Williams - On Wenlock Edge (From "A Shropshire Lad"—A.E. Housman) / The Water Mill (Shove) / The New Ghost (Shove) / Ten Blake Songs For Voice And Oboe. Odeon 1971 Netherlands
Whatever you do, don't play side four of Echo! That's the devil's music for sure!
LOL Greg

Howlin' Rain / The living room (CD)
This is a wonderful live recording. Wish it was on vinyl
Indeed, Wild Life isn't as "polished" but that helps make it what it is.

Listening to the album brought back memories of my girlfriend at the time.  I was a freshman in college, we met, and we loved this album.  I had my first real high-fidelity system and we played this many times.  She wore pineapple flavored lipstick.  I can taste those kisses when listening to this album.
I just love the memories I have buried in my vinyl collection.
Joel,
I remember bubblegum

Jim,
I totaled out a 71 Firebird while listening to that. Wasn't hurt, nor was my girlfriend at the time

Magic Carpathians / Carpathicus
Alice Cooper - Love it to Death.  White vinyl with gray swirls.  Sounds great.  Looking at it on Discogs, it appears its value has gone up quite a bit.
The earliest pressings of Love it to Death were on the Straight label (Zappa imprint) and have a very lively sound. Not so easy to find these in unmolested condition, but if you do a search you'll see some discussion of the album as a WLP with Randy Kling's signature as mastering engineer in the deadwax. Brilliant guitars in unison- at the time of release, I thought of them as a novelty act. I was not worthy. :)
@whart  I admit that my appreciation of Alice has increased over the years.
I have quite a few Alice albums.  I saw them three times in concert, each for the album tour:  Killer, Billion Dollar Babies, and Welcome To My Nightmare.

Phenomenal concerts which, at the time, Alice called it "Rock Theater".

Performing "Cold Ethyl" holy cow, that was really something.
Tim; 70 Firebird w 400, cherry bomb glass, copper metallic with black vinyl roof, sword handle dipstick, aftermarket air cleaner, absolute trash Mohawk tires…..

Time travel moments…..
Anyone in the mood to buy LPs this weekend? Plaid Room Records is having a 15% off sale. Starts Friday for in store purchases of new and used records. On-line 15% sales starts Sunday evening at 6 PM EDT.

This is a public service announcement...
I'm on vacation for a few days so will not be playing the TT. I will be lurking around though :-)

Jim,
70-73 is my favorite body style for the firebird. The 400 was awesome especially with the twin hood scoops. My 71 was a 350. I did have a 77 trans am which was fast for a 77, but didn't compare to the early 70's 400's or 455's.

Reubent,
Thanks for the heads up!

New belt arrived today for the Linn, and yes, I bought the outrageously expensive Linn factory belt. Got this TT for nearly nothing, so I don’t feel bad spending a little $ to upgrade the belt and phono cables.
Tim - The ole man used to say “ if only the Firebird / Camaro, etc… could talk “…

Perfect Vinyl Forever box went out today….
+1 Welcome to my Nightmare

Gary Numan ‎– Savage: Songs From A Broken World (BMG ‎2017)

I only listened to a few songs when I got this when it came out. Tonight the whole four sides on the Spendor/REL system. Wow.
