Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Jazz Impressions of Eurasia.  This one is a little bit noisy, I paid 2 bucks for it, but still quite enjoyable.
Yeah, that MoFi 45 RPM Dire Straits S/T album is really quite something special.  My copy is # 6538 so with 10,000+ and counting they must be selling very well, and rightfully so.  Indeed, the kick drum on Wild West End is like, wow, I just felt that big-time!!!  Water Of Love, I think I can fall right into the music and just keep going.  One of the best records I have acquired over the past year.
@boxer12   Happy Birthday.  Wishing you good health on your next trip around the sun.😎

Emerson Lake & Palmer  S/T   Original pressing, I have had this all of these years.

Pat Metheney Group  'American Garage'  What a nice album.

Stevie Ray Vaughan   'The Sky Is Crying'  Analogue Productions/QRP.
Bad-a$$ album, outstanding pressing.
Chick Corea - Akoustic Band from '89

Just picked up today.  Says digital master on the album cover but this thing sounds great.  Had to use the Milty and carbon fibre brush several times but not too crackly.
Tonight’s selections...

Supertramp: Breakfast in America MOFI

Steely Dan: Aja first press
Here is a decent website that has some rare and hard to find Vinyl.
As if this thread needed another way for us to spend our hard earned money .

@grey9hound  Thanks for the link.  Have you purchased from there?  Good experience(s)?
@grey9hound ,

I've been using them for over 20 years. While not inexpensive, I think they are a good medium between ebay and Discogs. I've had 98% positive experience with them. Just ordered two today in fact.
@slaw @grey9hound @big_greg. I learned about them from Steve and have since bought several records from them and every one if not sealed was absolutely as advertised. Good fast safe well boxed shipping. I don’t believe they mess around with anything less than NM surface condition. I don’t concern myself much about warps but I haven’t run into any problems there. I think their pricing is fair and at market, especially for sealed stuff. Their prices have, like everybody else’s, gone up significantly just in the last year. So, it’s not a bargain outlet. It’s quality.
I have mixed feelings about mentioning retail on here (as I know you do as well Greg). There is already way too much pressure on prices. But hopefully it’s good for the aficionados here in this little corner.
I concur Audiophile USA is first class. Have purchased over 60 albums from them, description of vinyl has always met my expectations. Had a sealed record that was warped, they gave me full credit and did not want the album shipped back as proof.

Delaney & Bonnie & Friends "On Tour"
Speakers Corner

Great record on a great label for music.
👍 James
I imagine this title was never audiophile quality but sure does boogie!
smoke salmon drifting on the wind outside, Clapton drifting on the box inside....

Backless
Wayne Shorter: "Speak no Evil"
I almost never post here, but anyone who has a jazz leaning will love this one.  Fantastic quintet, beautiful compositions.
@noromance

How many of us out there own Blues Project "Live at Town Hall?"  I was also hooked on "Planned Obsolescence" 50 years ago!  Thanks for that one.

Tough day. Tough week. Spent the day with my 96 year old aunt. Seems she is on her last leg of a very long and rewarding marathon. A bit hard to be back at my house, just waiting to hear that her race is finished.

So....per my mood and mindset, opening my Solti Edition Vol. 6 box set. Getting ready to play....

Solti conducts : Beethoven, Missa Solemnis D-Dur, op. 123, Chicago Symphony / Verdi, Missa Da Requiem, Wiener Philharmoniker / Brahms, Ein Deutsches Requiem, Chicago Symphony. DECCA 1981, German pressing
@keegiam,

If this matters, I got in Blues Project "In Central Park" recently, pp
Thanks Steve, Thanks Jim. Hard to be sad for a well lived life, but of course, it always is, regardless.
