@dayglow, I have two or three Jon Butcher lps. Been a while since I listened. |
@slaw Jon Butcher released 5 albums during the 1980’s, 2 for Polydor and 3 on Capitol. "Pictures From The Front"-1989 is at least the equal of his best seller "Wishes"-1987. Anyone that appreciates well crafted AOR/Arena Rock should not be disappointed. |
Shaun Cassidy-Born Late Side 1 The Beatles-Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band(SMAS 2653) Side 2 SQ* Millie Jackson-The Tide Is Turning Side 1 SQ* Journey-Evolution Side 1 Charnett Moffett- Net Man Side 1 SQ Audiophile Cry Before Dawn-Crimes Of Conscience Side 1 Herb Alpert-Fly With Me Side A SQ* The J. Giles Band-Bloodshot(OP Red Vinyl) Side 1 SQ* Power quality was top notch tonight. My SQ grading might have been tough tonight but all 4 SQ*(near misses) are a solid level below Net Man in SQ. Cassidy was my wife's first LP(her copy) so I finally spun it, better than expected. J. Giles Band might be the most overlooked AOR band of the 1970's. Bloodshot is easily in my Top 100 Pop/Rock albums of the 1970's but never makes any of the critics/experts lists. Millie Jackson is better without the vulgarity! |
the pastels, train truck tractor--don't know how this one got past me. it's a great freakin song. eliza gilykson, is it like today--i'm not a huge fan of hers, but she crushes this world party oldie tommy keene, love is a dangerous thing--for my money, he's the best guitarist in the power pop world, and this is probably his finest |
