Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO

The Cars / Heartbeat City
1984 Elektra

You said it Steve!

@slaw "Heartbeat City" f.   Ing awesome!!!!

Steely Dan / Pretzel Logic
1974 ABC

Playing through my Dan LPs, do I ‘need’ UHQR reissues?  So far, quiet vinyl and wonderful SQ especially on “Thrill” and this LP so likely not. Four more LPs to go, shouldn’t be a hardship listening to this band’s great music.

had the pleasure of playing some records in a local bar tonight...not my turntables. but there was some heat played for sure. the last record i played was a cumbia version of rod stewart "if you think i'm sexy"

I like it...well recorded.

Nice music being spun, guys.  I've been in the mountains and not at my sweet spot for music.  Good for my body, though.  Tonight is my High School 50 Year Class Reunion.  No music at home but should be a real hoot of a night.

Have fun!

@j_husker Right On!  Billy got that tone that he’d always been looking for realized on that record.  Great rockin music and sue is my preferred sound.  All time favorite.  Bet it sounds especially good on your awesome rig man.

A perfect spin for a rainy Saturday morning, and if you have never heard an OG of this one, it will shock you. Thanks owed to Mr Ludwig!

Sammy Hagar - All Night Long (Live).  I think this is an underrated live album, Sammy really tears it up live, the songs are all great (before some of his less than great stuff), and the band is TIGHT (no overdubs)!

Spirit / The Best Of Spirit
1973 Epic

Good idea @nicks25, some great rock ‘n roll here. Nice SQ.

The Byrds / The Byrds Greatest Hits
1967 Columbia

Great songs, wish the sonics were too.

Tommy James & The Shondells / The Best Of
1969 Roulette Records

The SQ on this old LP is stunningly good, surprising for a compilation or a vintage issue. Killer song selections, kinda requires playing both sides. 😎

Kansas-ST(barcode) Side 2

Brahms-Violin Concerto(M 35146) Side 1/2

Rod Stewart-Absolutely Live Side 4

The New York Jazz Quartet-In Concert In Japan Side 2 SQ Audiophile

The Fabulous Thunderbirds-Tuff Enough Side 1

Supertramp-Crime Of The Century Side 2 SQ Audiophile

Ernestine Anderson-Big City(CJ 214) Side 2 SQ Audiophile

Procol Harum-A Whiter Shade Of Pale(1973 repress) Side 1

SQ-Nothing of poor quality was Procol/flat/weak bass or Thunderbirds/edgy slight harshness worse? Pick your poison. Supertramp easily takes the SQ crown with great bass/treble extension. Is it a demo level disc? Despite the critics "Absolutely Live" is a very worthy recording. "Big City" is yet another great CJ release.
