I contacted them requesting the same equipment audiolabyrinth uses.
They sent me a lawn mower.
@zephyr24069. I might try that out then. Interesting to see how they would sound in my system. I'm glad they didn't do a men on audio skit. That would be just wrong! Lol. @andrew9405 mowing lawns is an honest living. BIG LAWNS BIG CHECKS!
Foxx xxx Andrew 9405, you not welcome here! You ever mention my name here with dishonesty and trash this thread, I will have you banned axx hxxx, now laugh at that, btw everyone, this guy don't have any cable's worth a mention, there crap, lol, his whole system is as well, when someone talks and does what he has here, mmm, they don't have nothing but emotivia home theater and audio questions cheap cables, ha, ha!
Ohhhhh Andy! Floyd from the Andy Griffith show just fought back. I love that show. @audiolabryinth how is your system sounding. What kind of music you listening to!
Lawnboy and Iso calm down.
Let the moderators do their job and you guys can use mom's computer when she's doing your laundry.
Tide on sweeties...........
Keith don't get too hot you know how they are on this thread big brother is watching. Lol. Keep your enthusiasm my friend.
Right Keith,
Keep your lawn blades sharp and your brain dull.
As always..........
I got them brand new shipped from the Gato factory I have them in the dark cherry wood looking mahogany color. Look at their website. It's hard to compare them to something. The are neutral with excellent vapor like treble extension. Ring radiator tweeter. Really tight bass. Excellent midrange. They reproduce what you feed them. I got them based on a friend of mine having them. There may be on 5 to 7 pair in the U.S. They are big in Europe. My system is a little eclectic. I wanted it to be different. I'm very happy with my speakers.
Hey calvinj, their is a pair of Gato fm6 speakers in mint, excellent, used pair here on audiogon for $9,300 asking price, is that a good deal?
Yes. I know the guy. They retail at $14,000 and they have to be shipped direct from Denmark or from the dealer in Scotland. You won't find them anywhere else in the United States. You know I change speakers a lot but these are my last speaker at least for the next 8 years or more. I'm extremely happy. Paired with my kr audio it puts me in the audio matrix.
Making Sense of … Evolution Speaker Cables

Extreme Audio Systems and Extreme Performance Cables with Low Inductance

At TARA Labs, the major design goal for speaker cables is to reduce the inductance in the cable. However, there are some high-end amplifiers that need to 'see' some level of inductance (L) in the speaker cable. When the low damping factor of certain amplifiers is connected with (ultra-low inductance) TARA Labs speaker cables, the output of some high-end loudspeakers becomes audibly variable at different frequencies.

The phenomenon is readily apparent, heard as bass that is soft and low in amplitude, sometimes together with high frequencies that are too smooth or rolled-off. Basically, the resistance in the loudspeaker cable should be ultra-low, and the inductance (L) in the cable needs to be low but sufficient to provide a load to certain amplifiers. There is no ideal value for (L). It varies from system to system, just as impedance varies with frequency in most loudspeakers.

The loudspeaker cables carry much higher signal voltage and current into a non-linear impedance (the loudspeaker) ... so the reactive load of the loudspeaker can be difficult for some amplifiers to drive... and the all-important damping factor of the amplifier changes from amplifier to amplifier.

One of the great attributes of the OMEGA Evolution & Grandmaster Evolution Speaker Cables is their ultra-low inductance. The OMEGA Evolution & Grandmaster Evolution Speaker Cables are the 'state-of-the-art' in both technology and design from TARA Labs. Its performance level is absolutely spectacular when matched with the majority of high-end audio components available today. And as with an ever increasing introduction of new components into the marketplace, we have found over and over again that not every cable or component has the perfect symbiotic relationship with each other. In these particular instances, there are some amplifiers that need to 'see' some level of inductance (L) in the speaker cable. For certain loudspeakers and amplifiers, TARA Labs has produced another addition to the line-up with the Omega Evolution SP & Grandmaster Evolution SP speaker cables. These cables are designed to work exceptionally well with amplifiers with a low damping factor or loudspeakers with a very reactive load in the lower frequencies.

Another choice is the *OMEGA CX Evolution loudspeaker cable with its slightly higher inductance, used especially with wide-bandwidth amplifiers.

*The Omega Evolution CX model is a more affordable version of the Omega Evolution SP. Having similar characteristics as the “SP”, yet at a lower price. For the speaker cable that requires a higher inductance, or used with wide-bandwidth amplifiers, the Omega Evolution SP and the Grandmaster Evolution SP are the ultimate cable choices.

*The recommendations below are “just a few examples” to help guide the user in choosing the appropriate TARA Labs Evolution loudspeaker cables. These examples are meant as a guide only, and are based on load impedance for loudspeakers and damping factor for amplification. Call TARA Labs to discuss your system and any particular recommendations.

EQUIPMENT EXAMPLES

Omega Evolution CX – Avalon speakers, Spectral, Wilson speakers (smaller and older models)

Omega Evolution & Grandmaster Evolution – Accuphase, Ayon, Constellation, Krell, Lamm, Bolder, McIntosh, Focal speakers, Cary, Sonus Faber speakers, Magico speakers, Usher speakers, Rockport speakers

Omega Evolution SP & Grandmaster Evolution SP – dartZeel, MBL Reference, Boulder, Accuphase, Ayon, Constellation, Krell, Lamm, Wilson speakers, Cary, YG Acoustics, Avalon, Focal speakers, Rockport speakers, JM Lab (Grand Utopia speakers), Magico speakers, Usher speakers.

*NOTE – The above equipment samples are only meant as a guide to help advise you on the best cable for your setup. As with all TARA Labs cables, when you move up the line to more expensive models, the TARA Labs characteristics that our cables are known for such as neutrality and natural musicality is always present. What you will hear is additional high frequency extension, detail, musicality, fullness, etc.

CABLE CHARACTERISTICS

Omega CX - A very balanced set of LC parameters.

Omega Evolution & Grandmaster Evolution – These cables has extremely low inductance.

Omega Evolution SP & Grandmaster Evolution SP – Provides more inductance for certain models wide-bandwidth amplifiers and speakers that require addition inductance in their cables. These cables are designed to work exceptionally well with amplifiers with a low damping factor or loudspeakers with a very reactive load in the lower frequencies.

@zephyr24069. They are a good speaker. I won't be buying a speaker again for a long time. With the kr audio va 900 *AKA* "The Baby Kronzilla" the sound is sublime and intoxicating. Great match for me.

@anyone. Are there any Tara labs owners with talk of how they work or sound in their systems. Would like to know actual real life owners in real life system performance.

You ever mention my name here with dishonesty and trash this thread, I will have you banned axx hxxx, now laugh at that<<

Ok labyrinth I'm still here now pay attention. I know you're not too bright. Here goes:
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Thanks for the opportunity to laugh. It's good for the soul.
This thread is dead. No information I'm out. Maybe one day I will hear real opinions on the actual sound.

Yup. No comments on sound of the Tara labs. Lots of moderation less information.
Hi calvinj, how have you been doing?, have you made any changes in your system since we last spoke?
This is a recent email I received from my friend Devon at TARA Labs,

 Hi Keith,

I hope all is well with you.

I wanted to give you some news regarding our new “Direct to consumer” cable loaner program. Perhaps you can blog about this on Audiogon when you get a chance.

TARA LABS CABLE LOANER PROGRAM

Please contact us at:  customerservice@taralabs.com

Listening to a demo cable in your dealers showroom, may not let you really hear how it'll really sound once you bring it home. To know how the cable will sound, you need to listen to it in your own home audio systems components, surrounded by whatever acoustical setup you have in your home. Only by listening to a cable in this manner, will you will truly know what it will sound like.

TARA Labs now offers you this great opportunity! Not only do you get to hear our audio cables in your home, you also save the time and effort of having to drive to your dealer’s show-room.

We have a wide variety of mid to hi-fi audio cables available for home demo (Cable list at the bottom of this page)

This program will enable you to actually hear the difference that TARA Labs cables make in your home audio system. We know that you'll love them! If not, for any reason, return them to us for a refund of your deposit.

*Cable Loaner program is only available in the USA.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS!

1)     You can choose to listen up to three different cables at one time (Interconnects, speaker & AC power cables)

2)     To participate, your contact info and “loaner-deposit” is given to TARA Labs. This is done by email or phone: (541) 488 – 6465 / customerservice@taralabs.com

3)     Cables are shipped to your home. You have one week to listen, then send back loaner cables.

4)     If you decide to buy, new cables will be sent to you. If not, your deposit (minus shipping charges) is returned to you. Easy!

Thanks Keith!

This is a joke! If you go to Agon under Selling you will see Tara Labs is offering all cables at 40% off retail, they claim they are "demo" cables but I now know several dealers dropping Tara cables because they can't compete with Tara selling direct at 40% off. Those customers who bought from a dealer just lost a lot of $$$, those new customers can get a good deal but will not be able to sell their cable but at a fraction of retail. I'm staying away from this brand now sorry to say.

I have looked into this, I have only found three or four models of cables for this offer!, also, this is temporary to clear some used cable stock out.
Taralabs is not selling all their models direct, nor are the cables they are selling directly new!, read what the ad says, lol, you cannot get their best cables at 40% discounts!, as a matter of fact, most companies will sell direct to you if their isn't any dealers in your area, krell will sale to me direct,etc...
Just sold over $30,0000 in Tara cables. Thanks you guys for calling attention to this travesty. This thread topic reads like one big "Snow Job".

Glad I got out when I did. Replaced the whole loom with cables from Monoprice for under $100. What a savings and no "inflated" mark-up! :>)
@audiolabyritnth yes I have been tube rolling my E.A.R. Acute CD player. First tubed upper end CD player I had that ayon cd2s debacle. I use it for my cd's then I use the resonessence mirus for my other files. I have dsd files on a sd card that play on my dac's sd card slot.
Ok fellas, just saw the responses. I always wanted to hear what the other Tara labs sounded like. I'm going to look and see how the compare to the atlas mavros and the high fidelity cables I use. I also sometimes use clarity cable Im going to try all of this out and see what happens. Good heads up on pricing. We will see how they help or hurt my system. Will be good to actually talk about sound for a change.

Sts, the Grandmaster has the gen 3 conductors, that is not found in any other model they have, it is a new proprietary conductor design, I have blogged here numerous times about it.
Calvinj, the mullard Military spec model tubes are the best, however, they are $400.00 to $500.00 a piece, the good news, they are nos tubes, and last 10,000 to 11,000 hrs!, man o man, you owe it to yourself to try em.

Sts,The Grandmaster also has a proprietary dielecteic's, there is unimaginable sound difference between the 2 model's you are speaking of,I have the Zero Gold model, does it justify the cost between the model, The One, of course it does!

Hi sts, can one justify paying for an amp that cost $40,000.00 for 300 watts mono blocks like the Dan D'Agostino Momentum amp's?,depend's on if the rest of the system can reproduce what these amp's are capable of doing, it is the same theory with this cable.
