I can't but think that people that buy such high priced cables are not audiophiles but simply want to say I own a $500,000 music system! It's sad that those of us mere mortals will never hear such a product.
Audiolabyrinth have you actually heard all of the Tara Labs ac cords? If so what are each sonic character?
But it's just wire! Yes I'm the first to agree cables sound different and power cords can make or break a system but this kind of $$$$ for wire? I have no problem with a 20k amp or a 20k turntable but wire! I just don't get it.
No there are not many cable companies that have prices like these, yes there are a few and unless the rest of your system is up to the task and if you have more money than *OD then these cables are out of the reach of just about all of us mere mortals. Again I can see amplifiers, speakers, turntables costing these prices BUT wire! Are they milled from solid silver? I think not. I'm sure they sound fantastic and would love to hear them but how do I say this.....it's wire! One meter interconnects, that's 3.3 feet for $28,000!!!!!
Audiolabyrinth yes cables make a HUGE difference in the sound of ones system, and to me, power cables can make the biggest difference but my point is we are talking about wire. Why does wire have to cost what an amplifier costs? Just because it sounds so good companies say we will charge 20 times more for one product vs. another in their own line? Wire should not cost as much as a BMW or even a Honda! This is all I'm trying to say.
Audiolabyrinth and you know the above how? You have listened to this cable in your own system?
Audiolabyrinth / Keith
So I was talking to Devon Scott of Tara Labs and asked about Keith over on Audiogon and he said "Who"? Doesn't seem you are very well know at Tara Labs!
This is a joke! If you go to Agon under Selling you will see Tara Labs is offering all cables at 40% off retail, they claim they are "demo" cables but I now know several dealers dropping Tara cables because they can't compete with Tara selling direct at 40% off. Those customers who bought from a dealer just lost a lot of $$$, those new customers can get a good deal but will not be able to sell their cable but at a fraction of retail. I'm staying away from this brand now sorry to say.
So why are there so many Tara cables FS and at such reduced pricing? Take a look on Adioasylum there's a NEW 0.3 that's sealed selling for 65% off retail! If I needed a cable (or had the $$) it would be gone.
OMG another ad from audiolabyrinth! You must be the guy that writes their web pages as well.
I bought Tara THE One's - sold them. Bought 0.8's sold them! (Had both the Onboards and HFX model). Bought "new" at 50% off retail so Zephyr there is more of a mark-up than you realize. Tara cables are just to sterile and lean IMO and yes it's my opinion only but would rather listen to a more musical presentation.
Agree with sk, spot on!
There are many places that sell these cables at considerable discounts, buyer beware.

It's only b/c of you audiolabyrinth that I will never consider Tara cables, you just regurgitate what's on the Tara Labs web site without ever hearing most of their up-to-date products. I've talked to others that feel the same way, if only Tara Labs knew what you are doing to their brand!

And you've heard this yourself?  I doubt it! How can you talk about this cable without ever listening.
Tara = LEAN  (except maybe their 40k cables and like anyone really buys those)
Sorry denon1 you will find out soon enough
And mikelavigne is selling them right here on agon:

Really! You ask what's his budget so you can tell him to buy the most expensive Tara cable he can afford! Yeah that sounds like another ad for Tara Labs. I've heard these cables in my own system and there are MUCH better for the price but let each owner decide.
Thieliste go for the Kubala line you will not be disappointed! No one has heard the Muse not even Audiolabrynth

Based soley on these info-commercials by Audiolabrynth I would never by Tara cables. Just saying.
Tara Labs should make him stop he is hurting their image.
I'm not joking, I have listened to some very expensive Tara cables and while good I've preferred other cables, and some were less expensive some more expensive but based on audiolabyrinth's info-commercials he is single handily destroying the companies name. Mr Bond should be requesting you stop posting immediately.
Who cares about reviews it's hearing in your own system and I've heard Tara cables and they don't do anything for me. (And you're a joke with all these info-commercials).

I too tried some Tara Cables, The One's and found them OK but nothing special. Luckily I bought them used and then sold them 4 months later at just a slight loss. Compared them to a cable out of Poland that's not very well known and at a fraction of the price was simply stunning.
Could have been a system synergy thing who knows but based on the OP thought I'd give them a try.
Lesson learnt!
