Taralabs cables

Hi, I wanted to start a new thread for all the owners of Taralabs cables, Enjoy, and cheers.
128x128audiolabyrinth
There is state of the art in all aspects of this hobby, whether it be speaker's, component's, etc..., never have I seen that state of the art come without a high cost with anything, cars, boats, houses, etc.., high end audio especially, the good news about Tara Lab's new introduced top cable's, you get what you pay for, cheers.
But it's just wire! Yes I'm the first to agree cables sound different and power cords can make or break a system but this kind of $$$$ for wire? I have no problem with a 20k amp or a 20k turntable but wire! I just don't get it.
Hi Rsf507, I do not know that you are aware that their is many cable manufacturers that have pricing like this, if you think the zero Evolution is expensive, check out the Tara Evolution Grandmaster I/C, however, I do agree with you on cable pricing out there these days, I have the Zero Gold and Omega Gold, Cobalt, Omega jumpers, my speaker cables are 24,000 retail for 8 foot that I own, I enjoy them a lot, my next step will be the Evolution Zero and Evolution Omega, and the new Omega power cord, I'm really not in a hurry to pull the trigger on all that yet, cheers
No there are not many cable companies that have prices like these, yes there are a few and unless the rest of your system is up to the task and if you have more money than *OD then these cables are out of the reach of just about all of us mere mortals. Again I can see amplifiers, speakers, turntables costing these prices BUT wire! Are they milled from solid silver? I think not. I'm sure they sound fantastic and would love to hear them but how do I say this.....it's wire! One meter interconnects, that's 3.3 feet for $28,000!!!!!
Hi Rsf507, yes, cable prices these days is high, however, I have listed to very, very, good equipment that was stratosphere expensive with poor 2,000.00 a meter I/Cs and speaker cables, guess what, sounded, well, like hi-fi,,, I also listened to average costing system's using very good cable's kick the crap out of much costlier system's that did not, to be honest with you here, I always have your same mind set about cable's, until I get floored by what some cables out there are capable of, now, many years later, I must admit my opinion, cables are a component, cheers.
Audiolabyrinth yes cables make a HUGE difference in the sound of ones system, and to me, power cables can make the biggest difference but my point is we are talking about wire. Why does wire have to cost what an amplifier costs? Just because it sounds so good companies say we will charge 20 times more for one product vs. another in their own line? Wire should not cost as much as a BMW or even a Honda! This is all I'm trying to say.

Hi Rsf507, what do you use for cable's?, there is less expensive Tara Labs cable models that sounds really good at their price point against the competition, cheers.
A watershed design for Tara Lab's power cord's, new to the industry,A refinement that took years to achieve,A must audition in any high performance system, some power cable's make more difference with performance than any other type cable, this is one of them,

Grandmaster Evolution AC Power Cable

The GM Evolution AC power cables is the absolute ultimate power cable design. It employs twenty four RSC conductors for each of the live, neutral and ground “earth” conductor paths. A total of nine low frequency conductor paths is used combined with the 72 RSC solid core high frequency conductors. The 72 RSC high frequency conductors are shielded in three separate groups for live, neutral and ground. Then the shields are combined to provide a phenomenal ground path together with RF/Emi rejection.

As the saying goes, a nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse..I might add over a broken telephone as he picked up his hammer and saw. That might be either to nonsensical or pearls before swine, but there it is.
Mmmm, you never answered what cables you enjoy?, are you on this thread to discuss cables?,

Hi Keith, How are you doing?
Check out the system page to view listed cables, etc.
This is a new introduced power cable, this is one model up from the standard Cobalt power cable, I recommend getting the oyaide termination up grade choice that Tara Labs offer's when buying this cable, a must audition in any given system, Happy listening,,

The Cobalt AC Reference Power Cable

The Cobalt AC Reference Power Cable is a reference quality AC Power Cable having both High-Frequency conductors (Rectangular Solid Core) matched with specially adapted Low Frequency conductors. The Cobalt Reference AC has 18 high frequency conductors for the Live run, and 18 high frequency conductors for the Neutral run. The Ground path is comprised of shielding and 18 AWG solid core conductors that are fitted with Ceralex(R) capsules.
Hi Brett, doing OK, took your advice, took a peek at the system page, I seen mixing cables, one brand I never heard of,I prefer a loom when it comes to cables, always works best for me, have you made any changes in your system since the last time we talked?
My amplifiers need a bit of work, I am waiting until I find a larger place to move to.
I'm making a correction, the Tara Labs A/C Reference power cable comes standard with the Oyaide terminations, this model and the Omega Evolution A/C power cable, Grandmaster Evolution A/C power cable, these three come standard with the Oyaide terminations:-)
Hi Brett, do you know what is wrong with your amplifiers?, how long have they been down?

Keith,
I don't know what is wrong, nothing major at all though. Being down at all is too long, and they have been for a while.
I will look into them when I find a good (big room) new place to move to.
Thankyou Brett, I understand, you remember when my system was down I'm sure, that was a whole year of frustration, you still have my phone number?, shoot me a text or call sometime, cheers:-)
@budburma have you ever heard any of the kubala sosna emotion cabling. I saw your warm cabling comments. Just was asking your thoughts. @audiolabryinth how are you ok. Maybe I will try the .08 interconnects one day. Hope all is well. @melbguy1 how are you I hope everything is going ok. It got nasty on the threads so I stopped posting for a while. I been listening. I got my kr audio va 900 with my gato fm6 speakers. I'm enjoying it. I had some Kt 150 that I tried instead of the Kt 120 and I didn't like them so I put them back kt120 back in. More power is not always a good thing if you lose nuance. I have a mix of high fidelity ultimate. Clarity cable organic and atlas mavros speaker cables.
Hi calvinj, good to see you, I bet your kr audio via 900 sounds good, tell me, is it a integrated amp?, stereo?, mono blocks?, also, I like to know about the Atlas macros speaker cables you have?, never heard of them 🙈
The kr audio va 900 is a handmade amp out of Czechoslovakia. It is an tube integrated amplifier. It is 80 watts per channel. It uses the kt120 tubes. It has a neutral and very nuanced sound. It is very musical. It has great musical flow. It sounds better than most amps in its price range. They call it the baby kronzilla. The atlas mavros are out of the UK. Whathifi gave them 5 stars. They are a really good cable. I still use my high fidelity ultimate interconnects and power cord with them. I'm enjoying it all.

This is a modest priced cable Tara Labs introduced this year, this replaced the Air 1 and Air 2 cables, this cable has an increased over all performance over the mentioned former Air series cables,,, Air Evolution

"Air Evo transients are sharp edged and fast, as fast as any cable I've come across." - Marshall Nack / Positive Feedback Issue #77, 2015 (Air Evolution interconnect)

"The TARA Labs Air Evolution Interconnect with EVO Floating Ground Station is advertised as completely neutral and absolutely revealing with high frequency and airy detail that is not found in comparable audio cables." It is certainly neutral, revealing, and loaded with detail" - - Marshall Nack / Positive Feedback Issue #77, 2015 (Air Evolution interconnect)

"The bottom line is TARA Labs new Air Evolution cables are out-sized performers and offer a big bang for the buck. Highly recommended without reservation for those shopping at this price point." - - Marshall Nack / Positive Feedback Issue #77, 2015 (Air Evolution interconnect)
The Grand Master Evolution - 8ft/2.4m

The new Evolution speaker cable is a stunning achievement, boasting the greatest current-carrying capability of any speaker cable in the world, together with the High Frequency extension and linearity of a 32-gauge conductor. Audiolabyrinth and you know the above how? You have listened to this cable in your own system?
Hi Andrew9405, I personally was sent exclusive info and pictures of the proto type of the above cable a few months before it's introduction to the market place, the above info is from the Tara website, however, instead of going through multiple past emails, this was easier to do, LoL!, needless to say, yes!, I have listened to this cable, and nearly every Tara cable, I personally have one of Tara's state of the art cable systems on my system, also, I have been using Tara cables since 1990, I seem to always come back to this brand, just like some people drive nothing but General Motors products, it's the same with me with this cable brand, it works for me, if there is any thing you want to know about Tara Labs, I will do my best to help you, cheers.:-)
Thankyou!, if you do not want to talk about cables, then why are you on this thread!, mmmm!

Audiolabyrinth / Keith
So I was talking to Devon Scott of Tara Labs and asked about Keith over on Audiogon and he said "Who"? Doesn't seem you are very well know at Tara Labs!
Well just seems like low discussions on cables with equipment and how it sounds with the music playing. I would like to hear more about what happens when the music is on. I wish I could hear more about that so my interest will be higher in hearing more of this product. I really don't care about specs. If it sounds good I want if it has great specs it means nothing to me. Kieth don't go getting into your feelings about this post! I just want to know more about sound! No criticism of the product. Just want talk from other users about sound!
I wish I could hear the newer stuff. When are they going to another show kieth.
Hi Rsf507, Ask Devon Scott if he knows Keith Henry, lol!, that has huge revelance with Tara Labs, really, lol!, I've got them dealers, I buy cables directly from them!, many, many audiophile's have taken personal opinions from me and bought Tara cable's from Tara dealer's and directly from Tara, your kidding right!, who are you to question me that has a relationship with Tara Labs for the past 20 years!, tell Devon Scott my name, and ask him what my model cables are!, which is the zero gold I/Cs, and Omega gold speaker cable's, and Cobalt power cord with oyaide terminations, as a mater of fact, I have the very same speaker cables that was owned by no other than Michael Freamer of Stereophile magazine that sent them back to Tara for the new Tara Evolution Omega speaker cable's that he raves about in his review as their is no better that he has ever heard or owned, I know Mathew Bond personally as well, also, I've known Devon Scott since he started working for Tara Labs, he was only a sales man, lol, now he's vice President, you really need to know what your talking about before you say something you know nothing about!
