So what series are you WATCHING now?

Apologies if this is a little off topic for this forum, but since many of us use our audio stystems for HT as well I wondered what my friends here were watching through their curated stereo or home theater systems?

What subscription services are essential?  What do you watch for story, drama and of course, sound quality?

Slow Horses, Arcane, Severance, Silo, Paradise, The Last of Us, The Diplomat, Prime Target, The Old Man, Reacher, Zero Day, Squid Game, A Discovery of Witches, Fallout, Three Body Problem and all the Marvel shows on Disney+.

Deadline: White House with Nicole Wallace. Free on MSNBC Monday through Friday, 4:00 Eastern time.

If you've seen the movie Game Change you're familiar with Nicole; she was the woman in the movie (portrayed by an actress of course) given the task of preparing Sarah Palin for her public appearances by John McCain's campaign staff. Things did not go well. wink

Just downloaded all seasons of “Better call Saul”.  Will be watching it after we finish season 4 and 5 of Fargo.  Before that we watched all seasons of “Breaking Bad”. I already have seasons 1 and 2  of Silo downloaded but will watch it on my computer as my wife hates Sci Fi.  These all all old shows with the exception of Silo but first time watching for us.  I am also on season 6 of The Sopranos, again first time viewing.  Watching it on my computer as my wife thought there was too much violence.

@stereo5 I would try to get your better half to watch one episode of Silo. Not to be a spoiler, but the main character is a heroine. Get the points where you can find them hopefully you both enjoy!

Not to derail the question but to add to it. How many of us wait until the series is completely downloaded. And how many of us watch it weekly as it’s released. I am of the wait until it’s completely downloaded and then watch on a binge.

@gkelly,

I also have Earth Abides and Under the Dome which I haven't watched yet. My wife dislikes all Sci Fi.  I am looking forward to Season 5 of For all Mankind and the new Star Trek series Starfleet Academy.  There is also some kind of Alien series coming out, I think its Alien Earth or something like that.  I'm a huge Sci Fi fan.  I have 4 TB of it on my computer.

Per your question Right Now I'm watching 1923 & Daredevil Born Again.  Had to rewatch the first season of 1923 because the new season took so long to get here I forgot who was who.

I hate waiting a week for the next episode so I'll wait until it almost done and try to time it so that I can finish about the same time.

My guilty pleasure is K dramas.  The rich guys always have really high end stereos and it's fun to play what speakers and electronics are they showing.

Koreans do sad better than anybody.  Misaeng: Incomplete Life about a Go player who has to work at a company where everyone else is from a university .  It breaks your heart every episode but I had to keep watching to see if there was any joy in the end.

title names can be off-putting, I avoided 'Slum Dog Millionaire' and 'Ozark' until I finally gave them a chance, they are both among my high recommendations.

I haven't watched a commercial since the VCR was invented!

We always have 2 or 3 going. Right now we're rewatching the Jack Ryan stuff.

Also 1923 (which is VERY good). Almost finished with Severance...the most confusing series ever.

We loved Shrinking. Hope there's another season coming.

Next up will be Dark Matter...looking forward because I recently read the book, Interested to see how they pull this off.

Reacher is silly fun albeit every season is the same -- he gets involved in something not his business, beats up or kills a bunch of bad guys, and that turns on a female law enforcement official who makes the first sexual move.  The main "drawback" is that it totally glorifies vigilantism and killing bad guys without due process.

Daredevil Born Again is really good.  Vincent Donofrio as Kingpin is outstanding...just outstanding, and so different from many of the characters he has played.  Good music too, and as Daredevil is blind, there’s a focus on the audio.

It's interesting how much "new to me" music I had discovered via streaming video.  Amazon Prime also tells you who it is, which is very helpful, albeit I suppose they do that so you can click and buy!
