Streamer recommendation agree @hk_fan . And with your systems OP why not the N20? You don't need Conductor in one and Bluesound in another.
Mono blocks for Revel Salon 1’s recommendation? My Salon 2's loved my Audionet Max amps. Used I have seen them between 13 and 18k. They are amazing. The Audionet Amps can be had for under 10k, but the Max is the sweet spot in their line. The Salons love power and current. An awesome combo.
How close are you to being to your endgame? My system outline and I'm almost there. I would challenge all that say they are done to print their posting and place it in the folder where you put new audio equipment receipts. It may make you smile the next time you see it!
How close are you to being to your endgame? My system outline and I'm almost there. Well if I again say 'I'll never sell these' I will probably eat my hat (again). That said, I do love my system.
TOSLINK Optical vs Coaxial for CD transport to DAC +1 @nonoise Just goes to show you have to try things for yourself in your own system. Good post.
TOSLINK Optical vs Coaxial for CD transport to DAC We are indeed in agreement. Thanks for clarification.
TOSLINK Optical vs Coaxial for CD transport to DAC Hello @richardbrand ! That is what I was trying to say. Optical is used where HDMI does not work (no HDMI input on legacy processor or soundbar etc).
Pulled the trigger on a Moon 861! Hope it pairs well on my Focals I think the Persona with Beryllium tweeters are bright in general. I think the Moon high end amps are awesome.
Battle of the affordables I would pick the KEF R11 Meta, and find them used. The R line was well reviewed, and like all KEF models, quickly becomes a good buy on the used market. The Q not so much. SVS makes ok subs. B and W are tipped up at the high end. And of cour...
TOSLINK Optical vs Coaxial for CD transport to DAC I think the resolution of optical is limited to 96kHz vs 192kHz for coax. Optical is often chosen out of TV's where the only other option is usually HDMI and may not work. I would use as good a coax cable as you want to buy, and a product like ...
Best amplification for Magico S3 newer version on your experience The truth is that all amps sound different and quality and design matter. The best? For me that would be the best Audionet amps you choose to afford. Take. A trip to GTT Audio!
Can't decide Dynaudio! My Contour 20i’s sound amazing with my Audionet electronics. I replaced Revel Salon 2’s on a lark and never looked back. I love the Contour 20i’s so much I have Confidence 20’s on the way to replace them. The 20i’s used with stands f...
Network Switches Apologies FOR not reading all of the responses (arguments). A good network switch, placed before your streamer, IMHO, makes a considerable improvement in digital sound. Those that refute this, IMHO, either have not heard it, can not hear it, or ...
Getting 4K with Classe SSP-800 Just use the TV inputs for your video sources and you will have full resolution. Run the Audio through the SSP-800 with HDMI eARC from TV and it will send the sound no matter what video source to the Audio Processor. I had this Classe SSP-880 an...
Differences Between Folded Horn Speakers and Transmission Line Speakers +1 @erik_squires on the Transmission Line being competition to the usual front, rear or bottom ports. All extend bass. I learned a lot looking at PMC speakers about Transmission Line. They are touted as being tighter, less bloated bass compared... |
