Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat

I’m curious about this product from Perfect Path Technologies and would like to hear from those that have experience with it. I’ve bought and used the Total Contact enhancer and like what it does for my system so I’m interested in hearing how this Omega E mat performs.

Great to see you posting Tim, Krissy must have dragged you out of your mad scientist lair for some fresh air!

😁😁😁😁.

Thanks for that usefull bit of info, never ever considered that tc might help with cable break in.
Very interesting.

😲😲😲
Uber waltz,

I have made two powerchord and speaker cables upgrades, within the Audience audio family, over the last year. I found that it helped to make the cable break in less taxing.

I initially installed them without tc for about a week. I found that after treatment, it took some of the bright edge off that was not present with the previous tc treated audience cables. Further, after about two weeks after treatment I was stunned by the rapidity of the cable break in period.

Have fun

rc
Wow, 90 days. That’s awesome.

Would love to hear more about the Gate. Hopefully Krissy or somebody could explain it a little more in detail. Still not sure how it attaches or is to be used.
@Ipretiring To be honest I really didn't plan on doing any shows.
I have been very very busy. Many big developments over the Winter.

Long story short, Capitol Audio Fest 2019. Except for the Amp and Source the entire room will be PPT technology and products.

I have done something unusual in the sense that gear has purposely
been mismatched, really wanted a challenge.

This will allow any and all to check out what we are trying to bring to the audio community.

I will do 3 major US shows in 2020.

The Gate is coming, I am a little behind on them, but they are coming along, should be early spring. So worth the wait!

Small highly effective product, coming in the next 7-10 days. Depends on the printer. It will be called Stop It, they will sell for $10 each. I think
everyone is really going to like them.

Last thing I would also like to mention, watch the site, except for
Total Contact all present and future PPT Products will carry a
full 90 day warranty effective now.

Wish everyone a great Spring! Even you Elizabeth & Oldtech

Tim Mrock

I have changed out my entire cable loom over the last 3 month's, all Nordost gone and much for the better in my system now.

So just pulled my TC paste out of the freezer and plan to redo all my connections tomorrow morning.

Hoping for more good things over next few weeks.
I just realized that Audiogon could be doing posters/forum readers a favor by permitting us to block out posters from reading their comments like Yahoo Finance.  I don't need to read trolls comments.  They are annoying and a waste of breath
.
T_ramey,

The products definitely upgraded the electrical and dac elements in both of my systems consistently. It took upgrading my speakers to find out how good these products preform.

Take care,

rc

That’s on me Geoff, I forgot.

Oldtech, yes it has dawned on me before but now I know. Thanks.

rc, thanks for sharing your experiences. I’ve gone into local shops too with high dollar systems and don’t feel I’m missing out on too much. The TC seems to be an equalizer of sorts or at least it makes you not want to upgrade as much as before.
Perspective,

I do not know anyone personally on this thread and I find most everyone to be informative with their experiences. As stated prior I have never participated in any audio threads prior to this one. I have spoken to Tim and found him to be a friendly fellow that is truly about his products. He has always been reachable, after the sale, and has consistently given great customer service.

I have, over a years time, carefully installed each of the ppt products throughout my main and office systems. I was definitely skeptical at first and was prepared to inform the group of any bad side effects caused by these products. To date I have heard none. I am thankful that I stumbled across these products and will purchase more as budget allows. Compared to power chord, speaker, interconnect, component, powerstrip and power conditioner upgrades these products are a huge bargain in my opinion.

I have a Client/Friend dealer in town that sells and demonstrates six figure systems on a regular basis that I have heard recently and over the years. My system is nowhere near those values but the products help get my humble system get Progressively in that direction.

The best,

rc

Bob ...

Thanks for the kind comments on what you've heard at my place. I've been concentrating on improving the digital in the system and didn't think about playing an LP for you.  I wish you were here last night.

Robert brought over some really great sounding records from his "private stash" of "Not To Leave The House" records. Robert calls the music on the records "mood music with a twist." Dead quiet, with the orchestra in the room. Very dynamic. The massed strings were flowing through the room. No stridency at all. Kind of like sitting in the middle of the string section. The speed of percussion and plucked strings were to die for.

The next time you come over Bob, I'll throw on some vinyl for you. Pretty darned amazing.

Frank

@oldtech0

Krissy’s offer is still up on page 35. Unless of course you have no huevos for your rancheros.
@mribob   Thanks for your comparative feedback and impressions. Frank is a respected member and despite never having used Perfect Path Tech products, I appreciate the experience so many have shared on this thread.
I only follow this post on occasion, and have not kept up with the personal attacks, or claims of benefits vs snake oil. My goal in writing today is to simply share my experience from visiting with Frank the other day, and listening to how his rig has evolved, as he has patiently worked hard to explore the tweaks of the eMats and TC paste. When I first met Frank several years ago, I thought his system sounded a bit harsh and bright, and not all that resolving. By working to optimize his listening space, and having an open mind on these tweaks he has clearly elevated the clarity and enjoyment of his system.
The other night for example, he put on a CD by Karrin Allyson, "April come she will", a track I know well. His system was transformed, and I heard amazing new details from the plucks of the guitar strings, and her voice and sound stage was simply impressive, among the best sound I've heard. And he has accomplished this feat with relatively mid priced gear, thats old, some would say over the hill, almost like Frank himself. (ha!)
I went home that night, and played same track. I have recently updated my system to D'Agastino Momentum Stereo 250 amp, and VTL 6.5ii preamp, with dCS DAC, TA cords, and NAS/Roon....my rig now is much more quiet, and has more control and better bass, but I didn't hear the magic of the guitar riffs as clearly or as magically in Frank's system. I would not have known what was on this track if I only listened to the song in my room, didn't realize what I was missing.  I attribute the improvement into the hard work and detail Frank has committed to his rig, work most of us don't have. the patience for.
This is a subjective hobby; I feel I am a good 'listener' to both music, and gear....so same track, same day, different systems, better results from Frank than my own...made me happy for Frank that he gets to enjoy outstanding music, and now I have to evaluate my room/rig to figure out how I can match his results.
In my humble opinion, most of these improvements are a direct result of the synergy between the E mats, and TC, and SR Blue fuses, and room treatments. Its an easy pathway to try on your own; I have no skin in this game, or dog in the hunt...simply trying to share my personal observations and experiences from a first hand listening session. To each their own, but I hope to move my rig along and improve it to reach what Frank has accomplished. Enjoy the music, and our hobby.
So refreshing to see this con job is up to 37 pages.  Oh my gush.
Thanks to Oregonpapa for the life advice and opening the path to everlasting audio nirvana.
All ya gotta do is pony up half a grand for the fruits of the power of suggestion.
Love to Shillzilla and the cast of toadies, keep the laughs coming.
Follow up,

It has been been about a week since the e cards have and the re adjusted e mat have in in place together on my CD player umbilical cord. The music is much more life like. The treble down to though the bass is much more detailed and tuneful. It is as if I am listening to a new CD player. Notes are fading out more fully. Sound stage is also more focused.

The sound on the tv has also improved as well. Two cards were placed under the powerstrip and one on Power Conditioner.

As I said before this was a very happy accident.

Take care all,

rc
Agreed OP.
Hopefully the histrionics can cease and actual user experiences can be shared.

Nothing but good for my system.
2 emats and 7 ecards and 1 tube of TC paste.

Would I say earth moving change?

Heck no but a real increase in depth and perception and a large decrease in background hash..

Music is just way more involving and to be cliched just more musical all round.

When funds allow more mats/ cards will be purchased.
I enjoy reading about tweaks.I have no opinion unless I've tried them myself.Even if sometimes I don't understand how something works or even how it could ever possibly work,it's interesting to read about other's experiences.Long ago when I first switched out a stock cable for an Audioquest Ruby, then trying different footers and so on, I learned every little change will make a difference. After that it's a matter of personal preference.
It would be nice to get back on track with the intent of this thread. If you have purchased an Omega mat or card how did it change your system? Was it good? Was it bad? Please share your experiences.
<3  The people we have met and are getting to share this experience with are phenomenal.  <3 Engineers, musicians, physicists and doctors, landscapers, teachers, and even a fireman. lol.  <3 an impressive lot <3 The best. <3 <3  <3 Thank you to all Timmy's awesome customers. <3

What I don't understand is how, or why, people continue knocking a product that they haven't seen, felt or heard for themselves. Or why they attack personally anyone who has experience with said products and found them to really enhance the SQ of their systems.  I just don't get it. Sorry.

Frank
Sort of what I was trying to explain politely earlier on the subject of long standing members having taken the leap and now reaping the benefits.

One truly does wish Elizabeth could overcome her scepticism long enough to accept a free trial offer.

All one has to lose is a little bit of pride possibly. Nobody here is wishing anybody to do something they are not happy with doing.

But I really feel you would get something out of it.
Elizabeth,

Thanks for helping me with other audio issues.

I know where you are coming from. I also had doubts about the product. I installed a few mats many months ago, I did not experience any wow factor that many on this thread expressed when installed and I actually forgot about them.
But months later when I removed them, I did get a huge music quality suck out. By that I mean the music lost its vibrancy and the live quality that I guess I had just taken for granted until I removed them.

To me, I think the mats act as sort of a rfi/emi blocker.
Elizabeth take them up on their free trial. But leave them in for at least a month.

 Elizabeth ...

All we can do is give you information. We can't give you understanding.

ElizabethYour continued and repetitive ridicule of these products is very unbecoming of you and frankly getting very old and tiresome.

  • "Frank is your real name Benny?"

Nope. Benny was a con-man. He belonged in jail.

Here’s how I lived my life, formed my attitude toward life and built any successes I’ve attained. As I enter the twilight of my life, I look forward up the road that I created for my children, grandchildren and hopefully, my great-grandchildren as well.

I sincerely hope you get something out of it, oldtech. It is long, but if you take the time to digest it, it could change your life for the better.

It may SHOCK you to discover that not every body is that paranoid.

Tim has been giving his number freely in these forums for quite some time now.

If he was not happy with doing so I am sure he would not do so.

I would not worry over much on his behalf.... Classic deflection methinks.
@Elizabeth  An odd/unfortunate suggestion to those with questionable scruples.  I hope folks here are sufficiently civilized.  We'll see.

Back to Krissy...

Anyone who has the balls to call Tim.... instead of hiding behind a computer.... please do. He is super busy in the lab today, but he’s always got time for a phone call. 603-203-4486.
