It is quite interesting how I am the one to get a response from the op, when I am obviously not alone. So, do you listen to music, or have your curiosities for information taken over your time ? Have a nice day. MrD
Lovely system you have, the diffuser panels look really nice and I'm wondering since their coverage is limited do you notice a difference ? I'm debating whether I should install some diffuser panels. Maybe my scattered furniture throughout the room is adequate in addition to a few absorption panels. |
I'm not sure what your agenda may or may not be but, other than the Compass and a few other not for the "North American market" Jeep branded vehicles, the US/North American parts content of the typical Jeep ranges from 60%-72%. That doesn't even address rest of world parts sourcing (ex China). You really should check your facts before disparaging a company, in the event you intended the China reference as such. Me? I'm a free trade individual, quality first. |
You are right I do post a lot because I too am a curious fella. I would like to think my posts have merit and are informationally of value. There are some incredibly bright people on this forum with invaluable things to offer. I make every attempt to tap into this brain trust to expand my knowledge. The audio World is filled with complexity and to the extent a really bright person has the capability to communicate this to simpletons like myself it serves to make my day. |
...from Chinese parts @ghasley |
@roxy54 As the 1st to respond on this thread, you would know nice, or not nice. My best, MrD |
@czarivey some Jeeps are built in Toldeo, OH; others are made in Detroit, MI and the remaining models are built in Warren, MI. I’m not a Jeep owner or potential owner but your comment about “made in China” is false. |
So much hatred and disgust here. @emergingsoul , I am just a curious fellow. You seem to post a lot, of benign things that seem to matter a lot to you, making me wonder if you ever take time to listen to music. BTW, the new Infinity QX80, with Klipsch loudspeakers, and Panasonic amplification. When will you talk about that ? Happy New Year....My best, MrD. |
I would love to know if anyone has experience with these mono blocks. If that’s provocative so be it. I do own 600 W mono blocks from McIntosh and I think they're great amplifiers. They do everything you need them to do very nicely. I do have an interest in their tube amplifiers, and maybe I should consider buying one of those as well as that's what they're known for. All the other stuff they offer like av processors, etc, may be good but amps are where they shine. |
It's like any other "halo" or "flagship" piece for a manufacturer. Be glad someone is still making such things even if it seems crazy. Like most car manufacturers, they will make something far beyond what the man on the street would ever be able to afford, but they exist to inspire. "Maybe it sounds OK???" Bet your life that it's more than "maybe" from McIntosh. |
