Cornwall IV or La Scala vs the big boys

LaScalas are very lively horn loudspeakers. The type of sound all movie houses had back in the 60s. I don't think they are comparable to the loudspeakers you listed.

Very different from the other speakers that you mention, and probably better than some of those dynamically, and not as well balanced or extended in other ways.

I moved from some highly modded Lascala's to Spendor D9.2 ($16,600 canadian) recently.

Spendors; more balance overall, slightly more detail level (especially up top) and of course deeper bass and a more delineated and separate sound stage. easier to integrate into a room, easier to add subs. 

LaScala; dynamics second to none, immediacy, "you're at the event" feel i.e., Room filling live feeling. speed especially in the bass response maybe not as deep but more detailed. feels more alive in room then others. harder to integrate the drivers for time alignment. harder to integrate in a room, harder to integrate subs. 

MAGICO M6 will blow away Cornwall.

What I LOOK FOR with recorded music reproduction, Lascala, no doubt. I sit 8 ft away from them ( the same speaker ( portable ) PWK designed and built specifically for PA use during Rockefellers presidential campaigning ). He lost, and maybe because of the LSs, lol. In my then borough of Brooklyn, I was the 1st to attain a pair ( many went to Manhattan, and the outskirts of the city ). The LS took off immediately for home use....and for a reason. Several pairs later, equipped with damping and modifications by me, they are stunning in their presentation. I use the AL crossover ( hated by many ) that attenuates the mid horn some, and adds tweeter protection, which is necessary when listening near field, and loud. I have had most of the various versions of crossovers, and I think these are BRILLIANT ( again, for my desired presentation ). Thiels, or Vandys....on steroids. I use class a ss. All my amps run class a in output when driving them. I do use sub bass systems, to handle the rolled off low end. And, when I listen to Stanly Clark ( just as a small example of excellent musicians ), the Lascala is a brilliant window for articulated musicianship. A total enjoyment experience. Having owned Klipschorns and Cornwalls, I must agree with you @lordrootman . 

Apples and oranges. The comparison should be obvious in seconds if you understand what you like in the sound of a speaker.

At $185,000 a pair for the M6’s, I’d hope they’d blow away the Cornwall’s or any speaker Klispch makes. 😆

One thing I will say about either of those klipsch is if you listen to music late at night at low levels you will need an amp that can produce good dynamics at low power levels as they are very efficient. I think both are 105db.
