Geoff Kait must certainly be an acquired taste, and having not reached even 500 comments, I’ve yet to acquire it.I swear GK lived by his computer in order to respond to every new comment (or any comment directed at him). I think he must have had it programmed to wake him up at night so he could post some derogitorily witty barb. Sorta wish the guy had had more to his life than Audiogon. So don't fret about your post number...means you have a real life! |
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” And within this progress lies the seeds for mankind’s extinction, because the unreasonable man - holding mankind in enthrallment if his progress - could not listen to the mandate of the world and her environment, a world that knows only one reason. |
I want to thank The Moderators for the removal of my post. Obviously the shock collar that's on my neck has been 'hacked'. Darn if I know who (or what) was reprehensible for this outrage of decent society. If I'm able to determine whodunnit, it will be dealt with. (Oh, BTW....re lines 2 through 4....If I'm threatening myself, does that count? Just checking....) (....while I may/may not have your inattention...does 'implied profanity' fall into the same 'nonoNo'? Would a 'synth' word bring the same hammer down? I've been silly me enough to think that the forum is populated by a mostly over-21 crowd....who, in the daily drives have likely subjected their dashboard to epithets that would melt the vinyl.... ...oh, my grievious error....the .001% that can't cope with anything over daisy.... |

I saw where he's been posting over in AA, so either he was kicked off here, or just got tired of the same ole same ole
" I had a very strong mental vision of what happened to GK. Determined in retrospect it was telepathic communication from the resident aliens in Wright Patterson AFB area 51. They told me he was using unauthorized alien juju on his telepathic tweak and his activated audio empowering Tourmaline was revealing technology humans were not advanced enough for. The aliens told him to knock it off and let things die down so he was forbidden to post on AG for an unspecified period of time. |
nonoise, "If it can launch an ocean liner, You may be on to something. Conundrum has one sparkling wine packaged like a Champagne ("...this blend is produced in the true Méthode Champenoise...") which makes it suitable for ship christening. Now we cracked that part of the riddle, too. By the way, to stay on the thread topic, the direction of the swing is very important. |
asvjerry, ....I Could make an oblique ’crack’ about simplistic theories in regards to potently complex conundrums... It is about wine bottle breaking into many little pieces when being swung, I think. Definitely oblique. Not straight(forward) at all. Let me clarify what you really wrote... A bottle of wine (a potent [12-15% alcohol] wine named Conundrum, complex because made of a few different wines), gets swung around. Swing is not a straight line, it goes in some sense obliquely. From low just behind and under your hip up towards the other side of your body in front of your shoulder and a little higher. Along the way, it hits an object, a piece of furniture or whatever else, and breaks. Cracks. Into a many little simple pieces that disperse and, along with dispersed drops of wine, reveal the complexity of what you initially had in your hand. As simple as that, but it is only a theory. |

WANTED: Dead or Alive; the former Grate-full, the second stuffed with mirthful malice towards the last 60 years. Will need access to an astounding amount of Money, or credit capable of sending DJT into a whimpering state of jaudiced jealousy. The Plan: A 'proper send-up' of the time frame mentioned. Will combine 'Fear & Loathing in LV', 'The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy', 'Harold & Kumar (do whatever they did)', 'Candy' (remember Ringo Starr saying "This no good...", or "It's DADDY!"), and other mind-bending and just straight-up Bent parodies of life in the Unitdefiled Snakes. The Goal: -Viewers exiting wondering wtf just happened -or- -They'll know what they want, but they don't know 'what' is 'what' -or- -"Well, Trish, that just shows to go ya' why Everything is so hopelessly f..." and the delayed sugar 'rush' hits, just as the car is put into DRIVE. "....and the Academy Award for...well, we really don't have a category for whatever that was, and no one wants to take responsibilty for what happened afterwards. So, we're just going to put this down here....*edge of stage, where it still sits, to this day...* (Soon to be featured on Go Fund Me....) |
iso, one can never tell where a tale may trail...or something like that... I'm a reluctant river baptism type....the sudden urge to be held down until the bubbles 'n struggles Stop... One either has Faith Fulfilled, or Flushed Fear. *!* The first is rare, the second has become the Daily Dread.... ...which would have been a terrific band name after Further got parked....just sayin'.... Just think (it's ok, I know..thought without pain is difficult of late, what with the constant *trumptrumptrump* of the daily drivel...).... Sugar Magnolia > Sucrose Maple Truckin' > Sluffin' ("...got to shed this skin...sunburnt, nuthin' appease a min...woe woe babe sunsleepin' a sin....") ...set includes an interminably long 'jam', done EDM-style on a Pioneer mix decks.... The '60's were fun....what I remember, anyway....*dazed G* The STD's sucked, after getting some....;) |
buellrider97, which sort of Buell? Mho, the nicest thing that could happen to an HD engine...;) Old (age & time known) running bud of mine had one of their nice frames, more cafe' racer than crusier. Got stole from his driveway, found later laid down with a punk stuck under it (still alive, so he got his from the PD). He'd tried to 'camo' it and wrench off some parts for disguise. Broke my buds' heart disassembling it to clean it up, gave up, and bought a Beemer in his grief... Last I knew, the parts are still boxed up in his garage.... A friend in common who details bikes would've (and likely, still) made it 10/10 again, but....it sits....:( One of a run of 500...but I guess that's commonplace for Buell... |
FWIW , I was staff ( SERT ) , not a resident . However most of my friends are cops , convicts and lawyers . The rest are in the medical field . We’re all thrill seeking type A’s . Cheers, going for my first ride in a month , now that the fires have eased and I can see the sun . Listening to Bob Seger as I prepare . My apologies to anyone I offended , as I was MODERATED ... Cheers . |
roxy543,462 posts09-20-2020 9:44pmoldhvymec, That was a cute story about your childhood, but I want to correct you about the white crosses (cross tops). They are not meth, which is a whole lot worse. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yea I know, the stuff I was talking about you could get a Dr to write a scrip on... I know. I just stayed away, pretty much. BUT in CA. That stuff is everywhere. No thanks... I remember being able to get scrips for steroids. I use to use them the heal, and recover A LOT quicker. Sure use to bulk up quick, 6 weeks or so of it. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I wouldn’t wish I’ll health on anyone. Geoff allows me to feel grateful that I have a full life . Otherwise I might be a spineless , weak , poop talking individual, that is the leader of an online circle jerk . <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. I wish you good health, hope you feel better, I have a cousin, doing life in a Texas Penitentiary. My wife has a cousin doing life, he was in San Quentin, been in since he was 19, he’s 71 now. Spent more time in jail than Charlie Manson. The guy was high and committed a crime, he still can’t remember, what he did.. It’s strange the two other guys, (mommies and daddies that had a LOT of money) remembered EVERYTHING. THEY were the killers, walked away SCOTT FREE, lawyers, money, and the Latino kid went to JAIL, forever.. EVERYONE knew what happened, no one did a thing, Pittsburg CA, Mid to late 60s. You got PTSD, and heart problems, and HAD to beat people to a pulp. I’d never do it, I’d have to walked away.. NEVER had to beat a soul, EVER. I have, but I never HAD TO. Yup I use to kick box, thought I was tough. LOL Yea When they fight back and aren’t afraid to fight back, Tell me all about PTSD who doesn’t have it? I muddle through mine, sheer hell! My father, a lot of my friends. I didn’t choose mine, It was a gift, from guess who? I spent 89 days in a Panamanian, lockup, 4 X 4 cage, PTSD, I’ll take it, I’m alive...and happy to have it.. I think every day about those guards, 47 years ago. Every day... One. ONE would give me rice WITHOUT cockroaches, I wanted the protein, just out of spite... All behind Vaccines from SE Asia being transported, to the Philippines, and Detroit diesel parts going to the Alaska. MECHANIC, I was the mechanic... I was lookin’ for STDs not PTSD. Crap!!! I laugh about it NOW, there are two side to every coin.. 47 years ago, though, I might have argued a bit.. Regards |
