Sorry, it’s all about wise legislation pal.
Cat Scratch Fever?
Looks like another non-believer in what's going on got served.

Mid 70's was maybe the crossroad of R&R. A combination of great music/musicians and it changing with the times. Bands were incorporating more "visual"-Alice, Kiss....
Underneath Ted's persona is a real deal guitar player who along with Derek St Holmes, did a debut album that stands the test of time. I lost interest by the time the thread title album came out.
Oh well, Ted will overcome Covid, and probably start talkin the Ted usually does. I dig 1975 guitar Ted, but not political Ted.

I'm on a Ted binge guys... Picked up an Amboy Dukes-"Call of the Wild" first press naturally and CHEAP. Listened to my other Dukes LP-Journey, T.N. and Free for All. My other score since I mentioned Alice in the opening post-Billiion Dollar Babies. Early press, with billion dollar bill intact. I f-upped the perfect cover removing the price sticker. What a great album! After the weekend, Ted and Alice probably wont see light for years. |
"
Nobody gets out alive, nobody." sj00884- after seeing your avatar, reminded me of Ted's connection. Like Uncle Ted or not, he's part of R&R history. https://www.contactmusic.com/ted-nugent/news/nugent-i-warned-hendrix-to-give-up-drugs_1160583 Imagine if he did...? |
Poor Ted , sorry to hear he’s sick . He’s been suffering for decades from another serious condition and now he has Covid on top of that , bummer ! He also suffers from L. S. D. or it’s medical name Lead Singers Disease . This condition is from an enlarged ego that puts pressure on the brain causing a type of verbal diarrhea that results in the constant need to impress people and believing one is always correct . While not fatal, this condition is progressive and usually permanent. It has been diagnosed in both Left and Right leaning people. Other musicians that suffer this condition condition are Sammy Hagar and Ian Gillian , but it’s becoming more common and has been recently diagnosed in numerous professional athletes . L.S.D. can also cause serious rectal inflammation if the afflicted person comes into close proximity with politicians. Hopefully someday science will find a cure for this horrible condition , but we must first understand they need our help . Cheers , Mike . |
An earlier post asked how he got it. He got it at a Naples Florida market called Seed to Table. I can see the store from the end of my street and it has become yet another national embarrassment for Florida. The connection to Nugent was in our local paper. Evidently he has a condo here and is friends with the piece of human garbage that owns the place. This is what we are forced to live with when people watch Fox news 24/7: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/video-shows-umasked-employees-shoppers-florida-grocery-store-n1... Anyone who steps foot in that store deserves exactly what they get. What sucks is that people such as myself and my wife, who has heart disease, will be stuck inside forever because so much of this country believe nothing but lies. The owner of the store compares Covid to heart attacks in the video, and asks why don’t we shut everything down because of heart attacks? And the reporter is too stupid to tell him “BECAUSE YOU CANNOT CATCH A HEART ATTACK!!!” As long as we have stupid people like Ted Nugent and his friend Alfie Oakes from the video spreading lies, this thing is going nowhere. |
"Lead Singers Disease" buellrider97- It's a condition the CDC has been ignoring unfortunately. "musicians that suffer this condition condition are Sammy Hagar" Let's just remember Sammy as the lead singer of Montrose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuOUNodVWeA "Add Bono to your list." pesky_wabbit-Bono couldn't keep his mouth shut in the 80's. About when entertainers/sports figures started being listended to outside of what their "job" is. |
@tablejockey - Love Montrose , saw them open for Slade at the Rainbow Ballroom Fresno. Their first album just came out . Sammy only sang. No motorcycle opening for Bad Motor Scooter, no Theremon for Space Station #5. I lived in Freeno and went to high school with the the bass players sister . Ronnie Montrrose was the real deal , and greatly appreciated. |
"Love Montrose , saw them open for Slade at the Rainbow Ballroom Fresno. Their first album just came out" Sammy was in his mid 20’s? in that video. I see a young Robert Plant vibe. The Montrose debut album is one of my 70’s American R&R keeper LP’s. I wasn’t a Sam Halen fan either. Saw REAL VH in 78 when the album came out. Lost interest in them after the album though. As a guitar fan/player, always thought Ronnie Montrose was a good musician. Great R&R concert memory buellrider97. I’ve got a handful. Just no epic Led Zep,RS, Who.... I was a few years too late-too young. |
I saw V H open for AC/DC . Saw Sabbath twice in Fresno and once in Madera . Saw Zepplin SATURDAY at Oakland Coliseum, the next days show was their last in US . Saw Stones at Candlestick Park. Some of my favorite Fresno shows were ZZ Top opening for a no show Savoy Brown , Deep Purple ( Machine Head ), Foghat , and the original Sabbath . The Buell pic is posted on my EBay , only 150 mph Sportster on the block . CHP clocked me at 123 and let me off with a warning . Engine was built by Chris Rivas , land speed record holder for a Harley Bagger . Mostly ride my 00’ Road King . Cheers to all you old rockers with well worn ear drums . BTW , I missed Joplin and Hendrix and thankfully Viet Nam due to age . God bless those that served . |
Did anyone else think this thread was about cat owners and the nightmares, concerns, and actual damage done to speakers and high end gear by their well clawed pets? I did. I like Ted Nugent, Todd Rundgren, Roger Waters, but I DO NOT WANT to hear them rant about politics in between songs in concert. I really do not want to hear them or celebs talk politics in interviews either. We have got FNC, msdnc, CNN, and politics forums etc, devoted to those topics. As for me, I would rather drink cat pee than vote for a democrat ever. But you don't really need to know that about me here, or I you, in this venue. As for those who wish ill health or death for those who don't agree with their opinions, well "bless your heart". |
They are a lot alike as they are both Republicans (IDC as I hate both parties) and yes Ted is an idiot and so are most in some way. Woh there oldhvymec, you have stepped way over a line! Ted Nugent and Alice Cooper are nothing alike. Ted Nugent is a twit. Uninformed, unintelligent twit. Alice Cooper is nothing like that. There is an obvious brain in his head that he actually uses. While Nugent was claiming that the virus was a hoax, this is what Alice Cooper said in August last year. |
I got rid of my Ted records. Not cancel culture since I paid for all his material, seen a bunch of shows, overlooked his draft dodging despite his jingoism, but I can’t have his image or work in my house anymore. It’s for my own peace of mind. Nice first post. Thanks for letting us know "about" you. Very instructional.......... |
"I got rid of my Ted records." I never had one. The cover of Cat Scratch Fever (did he have any other?) has always been inducing some discomfort so I could not have it around. It’s for my own peace of mind. What a sad end to one's wild image rock career when the man starts selling pillows on his website. TedNugent.com |
"Fly your defiant We the People American flag proud! ~ TED" And then it asks you if you want to pay in Euros, Canadian Dollars, or British Pounds. (Ok, there is a US Dollar option, too.) TedNugent.com |
Geez, Glupson, I guess when one aligns with the orange guy, it's what you do-hook up with team players. I'm glad I got to see Uncle Ted back when he was the Motor City Madman(76). I'll just remember him by that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kBIhOn_9CM Looks silly now, but when you're a teenage kid who just got an electric guitar, it's Beethoven's 5th! Ted was best having Derek St Holmes sing, and Ted just do the guitar gymnastics, and scream now and then like a mental patient. |
tablejockey, "Looks silly now, but when you're a teenage kid who just got an electric guitar, it's Beethoven's 5th!" Apparently, Smoke on the Water (you know by whom) was based on Beethoven's 5th symphony. "Blackmore later claimed that the main power chord riff is an interpretation of inversion of Symphony No. 5 by Ludwig van Beethoven, and that "I owe him a lot of money"." "GREAT WHITE BUFFALO!!!" articdeth, This era of Ted might be his best outside of the Amboy Dukes. Just before Ted decided he had to be even more Ted Nugent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaCjW_VAmo0 |
