I’ve been in the upgrade/mod/tweak mode for 18 months or so. And all my listening has been to hear/evaluate changes for much of that time. I’m listening to the system, rather than the music. Flicking through songs, not waiting for tracks to finish.

Would they put much effort into learning what to listen for? Probably not. And, okay another one, what if there are people who think all that really matters is the sale? Speakers, amps, ideas, its all the same. When you’re selling. Nobody gives a you know what about truth, reason, when there’s a sale to be made. Heck for all we know there may be some out there so bent on winning nothing else matters they’ll skip right past even pretending to have something helpful to contribute and go straight on to the personal insults.

Here are a few tweaks guaranteed to put a bee 🐝 in the bonnet of tweakaphobes and anti-audiophiles everywhere.
1. Demagnetize CDs, LPs and all cabling and power cords. 2. Isolate everything from the floor. Even Schumann frequency generators and power supplies. 3. Clean all wall outlets in ALL rooms of the house with isopropyl alcohol. 4. Always store all CDs and LPs vertically.
And in previous posts, you said that everything I had added was tantamount to quackery, and I should think myself foolish.

The couple tweaks you just singled out of the multitude you have, may not be snake oil or voodoo as they have technical merit and explanations behind them that can be easily discussed by engineers/technicians and designers that do back them, that are also easy to understand with their measurements they give. But you have many more than just those that are snake oil and voodoo. See the Electronic Engineering technical reports on them, if you can find any.
So sunshine get off your horse and you figure out what is a tweak and what is BS voodoo snake oil, it’s not hard if one is not inept and or gullible.

Indeed she has. My stuff can't be ugly. And she doesn't like cables. I tried to get one of my Schumann Resonators on the wall today. Not a hope in hell. So one is behind a couch, and the other behind the tv...
I have a dedicated (expensive) listening room (just equipment and seating). The room has built-in bass traps and only two walls have sound absorption panels. So, a pair of Hallographs behind/side of the speakers and a pair in the rear corners don't bother my wife or any visitors. They are also conversation pieces. I would give up all my other tweaks just to have them. They are essential for most speakers for focus and dispersion. They have been around for decades. Too bad too few audiophiles have experienced them but Shakti owner doesn't market them. You know the Shakti stone, doesn't work anywhere in my system but may work in others.
Sorry, Jerry there is someone as (you fill) as you, your not alone. When do you lot get the time to really listen to music is beyond any answer you can give.
millercarbon - I have 32 HFTs in my main audio room. The speaker kit is the only difficult placement. No HFT works near my tweeters or mid-ranges on my Legacy Focuses. Just 1/8" difference in height of the HFT warm sound on the sides of the speakers make a significant difference.
I use the Walker Talisman prior to playing every CD. I have found another dual bar magnet on Amazon which should do the same thing for $15.
Another tweak which I rely on (maybe until I get better speakers like the Von Schweikert VR55s) are Shakti Hallographs which aid my speakers dispersion characteristics. I didn't like my speakers until I tuned them with the Hallographs.
There are a multitude of tweaks which can work in a room. Treating the acoutical setting of a room first is 50% of the battle in hearing audio at its best.
Another really cheap accessory that I've used for six years is a Magic Eraser to clean my Benz Ruby 3. It truly cleans it and fast. I used to dip my stylus in a goopy material for the prior 10 years (I forgot the name) which worked but I didn't like it as much (not as easy to use).
One word: AnalogMagik. Carefully follow their process and get your turntable really, really, really dialed in. The trick is to start with the very best source possible. You can thank me later.

Had a wonderful listening session last night with a lot of new to me jazz courtesy of member Oregonpapa. Very well recorded pieces on a not too shabby reproduction system if I may say so ( to my ears at least and that is all that matters!) Great days indeed!
I enjoy putting myself in the middle of the soundstage. There’s so much more to look at. Plus the feeling you get when the stage rolls over and through you from front to back.

I’m not telling anyone what to do. I think you are delusional if that is your perception. I really struggle with your lack of rational thought. You are the one who is telling others what to do. Your way: "don’t do this. My way is the only truth. Only listen to me!" My way: "tell me what tweaks you’ve tried; I’m interested."

George. I could be wrong ( there's always a first time for everything!) But I do not believe I have EVER told anyone here or in real life to " do as I do". I just report here what I perceive I hear, nothing more. Really could not give a rats if anyone cares or tries it themselves. There maybe some here who suggest others try some of their tweaks, that I cannot deny.
Not much anyone here says is going to spoil my enjoyment of the music.

In the past the industry press chose not to talk about Low Mass tuning after the original reviews were made on the systems we were converting (even for reviewers). It was a matter of economics for the magazines, ads = press. The best sounding systems were not the expensive ones at all, but instead were the carefully tuned ones.
The technical reasons for the performance gains confused high end audio because they (HEA) had built a premise that didn't work, but they were already in up to their bank accounts. Even though some of us warned of chassis interference the high end jumped onboard bigger is better and went the opposite direction from what they should have.
Now that innovation is back in the driver seat the hobby is literally changing before our ears.
I had tried many amps with my eldest daughter. A couple of A&R Cambridge A60s, a couple of my Plinius pre/power amps, Perreaux, Arcam. Over the years, she managed to blow all of them...
A couple of months ago we settled on a NuForce DDA-100. What a pleasant surprise. Coupled them with my oldish Quad 11L speakers and an SMSL B1 Bluetooth receiver, and she's never been this happy.
The more exploring someone does on their own the better. If you look at the Tunees you will see we start with the signal itself. We either get designs already bare bones or we strip stock products to their bare bones and begin our tuning from there.
With today’s designs from around the world, doing this is very inexpensive and it doesn’t take long to discover the performance increases by getting rid of mass. How big of a performance difference thanks to the internet is being told and is jaw dropping.
I have guys for example who have recently gone from $70,000.00 systems down to around $8000.00 that sound several times as good as the expensive ones. Imagine going from a $45,000.00 reference amp, pre and CDP to a $450.00 amp CDP combo with a huge musical performance increase. That’s what is taking place right now and has been proven many times over.
