@yping - in the past you have spoken very favourably about KLE Innovations cables - Are you now looking for replacements? Just curious :-) What I like about their IC’s is the helix geometry. It provides very good results and eliminates most issues of cable design (see links below) Their braided geometry they use on their power cables is more effective than many other brands, but not as effective as the Helix geometry. Surprisingly, the geometry used on their speaker cables is rather conventional by comparison to their IC’s and Power Cables and will suffer from many of the associated issues. Please read... https://www.psaudio.com/article/cables-time-is-of-the-essence-part-1/ https://www.psaudio.com/article/cables-time-is-of-the-essence-part-2/ https://www.psaudio.com/article/cables-time-is-of-the-essence-part-3/ Building good cables is not just about wire quality and connector quality - cable geometry is key to excellent cable performance. Williewonka, love KLE cables and connectors, they are great. That scam thread is shameful and should be closed and deleted. Seems strange and surprising that it is allowed to be there. Without those bad negative posters this thread is very peaceful. Although not many posts, so far. I like that Anticable cables get best in show awards which means that they are good. What good stuff do you have to say about Anticable cables? Have any you compared them to Nordost, Tara, AQ, or any other cables (lots of them)? |
tomcarr, yes, its called parallel Bi-wire. i got it from the Anti-cable site under FAQ. All i know is that it works, all it cost me to try it was 36.00 bucks. i clearly heard a difference with the jumpers and preferred it that way. Gregby bi-wiring with jumpers it sounds like you have accidentally connected the SCs as per the Doug Schroeder method. Does that sound right? |
AXPONA 2019, Positive Feedback Audio Oasis AwardI think that it is pretty cool that they received this show award (and others) and makes mockery of the other thread. I would say that it is not easy to receive awards like this, wouldn’t you agree? I am little surprised that noone seems to have compared them to Nordost, Tara, AQ, MIT, Transparent or any other cables (lots of them)? These and others would surely be at the audio shows, wouldn’t they? Nonetheless, it is a good direction don’t you think so? As a theoretical physicist have you received any awards? As a thought, would or could you say that energy is directional and still emanating from the point source (the big bang) which (perhaps and by observation) is why the universe still appears to be expanding? |

I was simply pointing out that their performance may be connected to the fact that Anti Cables are controlled for directionality during the manufacturing process. To answer your second question, I would say that directionality of cables is not at all like the Big Bang. It is like stroking a porcupine. It’s much easier to stroke a porcupine in the direction the quills are pointing. No? To answer your first question, “Machina Dynamica’s Clever Little Clock Gets Brutus Award 2006 from Positive Feedback.” |
No mocking on my part either nor intent to do so. If you have taken it that way then that is unfortunate and sorry. Merely suggesting that it would not be easy to receive a theoretical physicist award and nor would it be easy to receive the AXPONA 2019, Positive Feedback Audio Oasis Award (and other awards). Why, this was to indicate that the other thread about anticables is shameful, a mockery, and should be deleted. Those cables are directional 🔜 right? 😳 ... I was simply pointing out that their performance may be connected to the fact that Anti Cables are controlled for directionality during the manufacturing process.sounds reasonable :) Big Bang suggestion... just some fun, as the energy flows from a high to a low potential (very directional) that it perhaps may never reach! |
good and clear! Those cables are directional 🔜 right? 😳 |
I just wanted to share my experience with Paul (the owner) of Anticables. My experience with him was actually related to Spatial audio speakers rather than his cables, as he is a demo site and dealer for Spatial Audio. I spoke to Paul regarding coming to audition the speakers and he was extremely friendly and invited me to his home where the speakers are set up. I had to change the day of the audition due to unforeseen issues and moved it back to the following day. Paul was getting ready and packing for the show out in DC that is going on right now, but still fit me into his schedule. I came to his home and was greeted by him and his very sweet wife, Judy. Paul led me to his listening room and set me up in there with all of his equipment and let me use his own personal system to check out the speakers. He even brought me dinner while I was listening! In the end I'm not sure that the Spatial Audio speakers were for me, but all I can say is that Paul is an extremely friendly and awesome guy. If you are considering purchasing Spatial Audio speakers or cables from his business Anticables, you cannot work with a better guy. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase anything from him, and I am very confident that if you had any issues he would take care of you. |

Greg " For many years I have been bi-wiring without jumpers. A few years ago, in an email exchange with Paul, he recommended adding the jumpers. I recall being skeptical and did not try it (though I had no knowledge or facts as to why it wouldn't work). For some reason, I decided to try this. Last night I made a set of jumpers out of some 12 GA OCC wire and gold/copper bananas. This morning I added the jumpers. I prefer bi-wiring with the jumpers. |
I recently purchased a set of "Anticables" interconnects. They are of the (5.2) analog type with RCA connectors, with a length of (0.5 meter). Currently? I cannot stand them... But in the paperwork which came with the pair. "Anticables", do recommend a break-in period. Stating that the sound may actually get worse "before" they settle in and improve. Hee hee, And I can attest to that last sentence being very true at this point! So, that particular system has been running now for about (300) Hrs., and I was hoping someone here may have an idea as to how long this break in period was for a similar pair of interconnects from "Anticables". Anyone? |
