I order a lot of stuff from them, mostly electronic parts. Never a problem. Sometimes an order takes extra long to arrive but everything eventually gets here.
AliExpress order issues
With all the comments about how good the 'Nordost' cables from AliExpress were, I decided to order some back in April. Got confirmation, and the usual location status updates- shipped, left country of origin, in receiving country, with local carrier, out for delivery...then crickets. No cables, no updates, nothing. Then about a week after the last update I get a "There was a problem delivering your order". that's it. No explanation, no what to do now, no refund coming, no anything. That was the final communication. I had to open a dispute with my CC company to get a refund. Has this or similar happen to anyone else?
I'm sorry to hear that. My experience has been pretty good communication and fast shipping.
II'm sorry to hear that. My experience has been pretty good communication re order info, and fast shipping.
I received one item that turned out to not meeting specifications and although it was kind of tricky for me to file a return request, ultimately it was refunded and I got a prepaid return label, so all ended well. |
I should have noted this was also my first time ordering from them so I’d no prior experience. Also, I’m now being bombarded with emails showing me what ’goes with what I purchased’. I really wanted to try those cables, too. I also can only guess all the shipping updates I got were just blowing smoke. No idea what happened. |
I have a similar issue with a Gustard BNC cable coming from China. It got to LA in under a week and it has been stuck over 3 weeks in a sorting facility in Grapevine, TX, 3 hours from my home. After doing some research, I hear that it's nothing unusual, just sit and wait and it will likely eventually show up. |
it is not evident to navigate their site... I had the same problem few weeks ago with a small chair i ordered but was never put in the mail... Aliexpress reimbursed me... Look attentively "order details"... |
Just placed an order for the 'Nordost' Odin Gold rca cables. Yeah, the shipping was almost half the price of the cable. Just paid a lot more than the first go around. (A lot being a relative term). But if it's as good as everyone was saying, still quite a bargain. Supposedly coming to me Aug. 13, we'll see.

@thecarpathian Hope all goes well with the Odin Gold purchase. They are very nice cables especially for their price. I went all in with them a few years back. I have since upgraded IC’s and power cables to Audio Envy which I like better. Recently I made a bigger step up to Veritas IC’s and a few power cables and they are much better but cost much more and are still a great value for their excellent much improved performance. I still use the Odin IC’s on my Subs, the Odin power cables on my home theatre set up (amp, power conditioner and sub) and all of my ethernet cables. Just ordered Veritas ethernet cables to see if improvement can be heard. I’ve been amazed what a differece cables make in a revealing system. Fun to play around with! |
Hope it shows up. I just received an Odin Gold USB cable from Ali RM Digital(ordered July 19). I recently installed a streamer and to get it up and running I was using just a basic usb cable I had on hand. I was looking for a good, used cable and hadn't found one before I ran across discussions on the Ali n-dost cables. Before today I was a bit of a cable agnostic. Listening to my system after putting the Odin cable in (streamer to DAC)..buying that cable was a very good move. I went from a very basic cable to something (who knows how much) better. Very pleased with the purchase. The system has never sounded better. I'm pretty surprised. |
