How good is the crossover in your loudspeakers?
@toddalin  It looks like VR1's wiper is floating, essentially making it a 50R fixed resistor?  Normally a L-pad wired as a variable resistor has ground (pin 3) floating. I'm probably not reading this schematics correctly.
Power Help - What Conditioner - WHERE?
@ghdprentice summed it up well, and more diplomatically than I could at that.
Adding an extra 1ft to premium speaker cables
If you're gonna wring your hands, wring'em over something that matters.
What is your audio axiom?
My audio axiom is Relax.
Network Switches
You would need converters at every component that does not natively support SFP. Typically, the last Ethernet segment - the one that plugs into your streamer - is where optical decoupling is most beneficial if sound quality is the goal.
Network Switches
@kirkwallace  You could get a SFP switch, and simply use fiber from your modem on out.
Krell Moves to new location
Requiem for Krell. They made stellar, world-class gear in the 1980s and 1990s. RIP
Adding an extra 1ft to premium speaker cables
@audphile1  So it’s a pretty simple concept really. Most seasoned audiophiles I know, and a lot of them are here on audiogon, in addition to their love for music and good sound are also avid gearheads. I like to know what’s in the box. I like re...
Adding an extra 1ft to premium speaker cables
@invalid  The word "necessarily" in You seem to think any audiophile that spends more money than you would on cables and tweaks doesn’t know anything about the equipment, which isn’t necessarily true.  is much appreciated. Thank you. What I ...
Adding an extra 1ft to premium speaker cables
What is interesting is that (to my knowledge at least) none of you audiophile-outlets aficionados has stepped up to the plate and wired a homerun from listening room to electrical panel out of 10AWG Furutech all-silver cable. But wait! Even if on...
Adding an extra 1ft to premium speaker cables
OP made his point in a questionable way, but it's a fair point nonetheless.  The problem with most armchair Audiophiles perorating endlessly in forums about the stunning aural benefits of tweaks, network gear and cryogenically treated USB cables ...
Best way to dampen a micro-vibrating Printed Circuit Board inside an amp? Thanks!
@mrdecibel  My point was that the acetic acid released during the curing process of the sealants you listed is corrosive to electronic components and circuit boards, and therefore to be avoided. We are in full agreement about how unpleasant they...
Do most people prefer tight bass or non tight bass?
It is fair, I think, to say that our listening habits and musical tastes dictate the composition of our systems.
Do most people prefer tight bass or non tight bass?
@gbmcleod  I don’t disagree with your post, mind you; just to play devil’s advocate though, I’ll say that digital instruments allow us to hear sounds and orchestrations we’ve never heard before. I’d say that’s a good thing, and I respect the opin...
Best way to dampen a micro-vibrating Printed Circuit Board inside an amp? Thanks!
I've watched a few of Angela-Gilbert Yeung's videos.  If I had to hazard a guess, I would say that underneath the buffoonery lies a brilliant designer. Hence my curiosity toward their products. @pindac  The mono preamps you are commissioning ar...
