Ethernet cable - but which one?
As with all other types of cables, if you don't believe that cost and quality is important, then you'll be shortchanging yourself.  After trying lesser ethernet cables in the past, I run three $2000 each Shunyata Research Sigma ethernet cables in ...
Best Holographic Speakers ~$7k per pair
I never ask for such advise on these forums as this type of issue requires my own personal research and leg work to figure it out.  All the suggestions and recommendations by others won't do you much good if you can't audition the speakers for you...
Beginner in the Audiophile World – Looking for Streamer & Streaming Service Advice
I have Tidal and Qobuz streaming services.  They both sound great.  I prefer the sound of Tidal.  There's so many real nice streamers in todays market.  I use the streamer in my very high-end DAC, and it sounds fabulous.  Happy listening.
Chinese DAC's
@freediver The high end audio market is a global market in which China plays a most critical role.  Not just audiophiles who trade with China, but all Americans will be effected by having to pay significantly higher prices when trading with China....
Is it possible to find a good DAC for under $50, 000?
Remember the old TV commercial where a beautiful female model looks straight into the camera and states "Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful?"  Well, the same applies to our more well-heeled audiophiles.  Don’t hate, or question, or resent our wea...
ripping/streaming?
I have a Roon Nucleus Plus with 4 TB SSD.  I have a couple thousand CDs.  I figured that ripped CDs would sound better than streaming.  When I first got the Nucleus Plus, I ripped a few CDs via dBpoweramp, then transferred them to the SSD.  This w...
Is it possible to find a good DAC for under $50, 000?
IMHO, no component in high end audio falls under the law of diminishing returns  more than DACs. However, if you’ve got the cash..............  Happy listening
Music streaming
If you want the ultimate in streaming sound quality (for me and my audio system, Tidal came out #1) go with either Tidal, Qobuz or both.  Happy listening.
Bad idea?
I wouldn’t fiddle around with DIY or anything like that.  There’s just too many absolutely phenomenal speaker cables out there on the used market, in your price range, that would perfectly fit your needs.  Do the research, figure out what you like...
Streaming Tidal/Qbuzz Vs Internet Radio
@buellrider97  In my audio system, I listen to a few radio channels from time-to-time via Roon Nucleus Plus Music Server and Ayre Acoustics QX-5 Twenty Streaming DAC.  In my audio system, Tidal and Qobuz always sounds better than any of the radio...
Considering switching to XLR cables,
@salc  In my 30 experience, XLR is always better!!!  You just can't go wrong by going with XLR throughout your entire system.  Also, get the very best XLR you can afford, and you'll never return to RCA.  Happy listening.
Modern equivalent of Cardas Golden Cross
I used Cardas Golden Cross interconnect a few years ago, but sold them for a pair of Audioquest Thunderbird XLRs, which have become my end-game interconnects.  Happy listening.
Power Cords/ Conditioner/Surge Protectors
@singere:  Yes, you should add a power conditioner to your audio system.  And, yes you should use all  upgraded aftermarket power cables in your audio system.  Happy listening.
Pairing streamer
Yes, you must simply connect your device to your home network/ WiFi/ router via IP address and all will be well.  Happy listening.
"audiophiles listen to their equipment"
So what, if audiophile listen to their equipment, and who really cares!!!  Happy listening.
