A new horn is brewing in the cauldron?

I was looking at classifieds and ran into a tekton model.

But, my curiosity has risen more about the speaker in the background instead, which doesn’t seem to be listed on their website.

It looks kinda like a B&C horn paired w/dual 15s maybe... seems smaller than the Jubilee, maybe the size of a Klipschorn...

Any Tektonians from constellation Tekton have a clue on what model this is?

That's probably the most interesting thing I've seen from him. He must know that viewers would be curious, so it must be a tease for an upcoming model.

No, but the one large horn looks really interesting, like the Klipsch Jubilee.

This seems more like it...

Admittedly, I have never listened to Tekton speakers, never even seen them in real life. Hopefully they sound better than they look, to me they are hideous. For some reason they come off as cheap.

That massive horn 15in bass array looks like a HT speaker. It's very sterile, monolithic, and industrial looking. Again, hope it sounds better then it looks.

The MF/HF horn in the background does indeed look like the B&C ME464 horn, which is usually mounted with or intended for the B&C DCX464 coaxial compression driver. Being there’s a dedicated tweeter horn just below however he’s likely using a different driver for the large horn (the DCX464 isn’t cheap, nor is the corresponding horn itself).
With regard to looks: they’re mostly deceiving, and luxury finish only, only adds to the price.

Ok, while we’re on the subject, how about there and their? The troubling thing about it is that you can tell when English is a second language by the way someone writes, and these incorrect uses are largely done by American writers on this forum. How did they get through school?

"I seen" ---> I HAVE SEEN

"I should of" ---> I SHOULD HAVE

"I must of" ----> I MUST HAVE

I can sense the "MUST OF" dog faced pony soldiers from a mile away...

Too funny!

However, I do believe Eric may be testing the water with that picture.

I have the Perfect SETs and love them. MOABs will be next.

@roxy 54     How could you forget the biggest offender of all, subbing "loose" for "lose"?

@acresverde

Thanks for that one! It is a common and inexcusable error. I have a close friend who uses it that way all of the time in texts, and I just grit my teeth.

She also writes ect instead of etc, no matter how many times I write etc, and she writes ruff and tuff instead of rough and tough.

I want to ask her in a good-natured way how she came to start spelling ruff and tuff that way, but friends tell me it would be rude no matter how I asked.

@hillbilly559 , Would it be a fair assumption to say that many of his models are different types of designs/sound signatures across the map, i.e., you are not climbing some house sound sonic ladder or whatever when you go up in price, as is the case with some other brands.
