Where R U?????

All us regulars are familiar with the “Who R U” thread started by my buddy David. I met my first local audiophile friend last weekend, their aren’t many of us up here, and we have similar taste in music, and gear for that matter too! David is also ‘close’ to me(about 2-3 hour drive) other then that there is NO one, perhaps some of us are closer to each other then we realize. Of course some of us know where each other are, how ever there are many members I don’t know the location of. There are literally NO high fi dealers near me, so it is nice to see/hear a good system, set up by a fellow audiophile, my latest friend is so happy that he is not the only one in this area with this passion. So I am in the Albany, NY area, where are you folks from?

Rye, a small town on NH's beautiful seacoast, pretty near the White Mountains and skiing, great quality of life in the Live Free or Die State... but just a tad bit too e'ffing cold for for this southern boy.

Null1, I lived in Toledo for 6 yrs, until 6 yrs ago when we moved to Atlanta. We lived in the Old West End on Virginia near Collingwood. I miss Fritz & Alfredo's, Timko's, Mano's, and the Middle Eastern restaurant (name?), the art museum, and our very interesting neighborhood. But NOT the cold.
Originally Detroit. Hey Bigjoe, if Flint is the "armpit of the world", I guess that makes Detroit the a-hole of the world, with its constant flatulance belching from its smelly old smokestacks. But a great source for fantastic music. Now northwest of Atlanta, GA. Mountains, warm weather, cows for neighbors, simply beautiful. But a lousy source for music. Oh well.
Greetings,
Another good post. I am in Hot HOT town of Hattiesburg, MS.which is located about sixty miles from the Gulf Coast and one hundred and five miles from New Orleans. It is usually one hundred and twenty degrees in the shade here. Like many other audiogoner's, there are no serious High End stores anywhere near my location.

Jackson, WI.

Let's see...you drive north from Milwaukee until you get to the 'sticks,' then continue north until you fall off the edge of the planet. When you hit bottom, you'll be in Jackson.
In the middle of nowhere in West Virginia. A perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of big and dead cities.
I used to drive through Canmore all the time on the way from Prince George to Calgary. What a beautiful place...

P.

That make audio equipment very expensive. High import duty.
My local B&W dealer wants nearly $7000 for a pair of 805 Signatures!! (thru Audiogon I found a demo set in HK for $3000)
Needless to say I am shopping in Hong Kong and Singapore.
And all this time I thought you were a camera nut! Lake Panorama who would'a thunk it!
Originally from Laguna Beach California moved to Seattle in 1989. Left there in 1996 (too crowded with just as bad traffic as Cal) and now in Lake Panorama Iowa, a private lake about 40 miles west of Des Moines with no stop lights.

Miami, Florida but I am moving 80 miles up the road to Jupiter (just north of West Palm Beach)
Hello from the south. I'm somewhat new to the high end audio market but am catching on quickly. I'm a 28 year old physician, or at least resident, in TN. I grew up in a old school marantz and altec lansing household where vinyl ruled. I'm trying to find my own space in the audiophile world and have found meridian products fit my taste. I read with much enthusiasm the threads on a daily basis and appreciated all the folks at audiogon.
