Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

After retirement, I listened to much of the Grateful Dead catalog. This lead me to listen to jam bands.  So far, I like Goose, Spafford,  Pidgeons playing ping pong, Disco Biscuits,  Lettuce. Enjoying most of it.  Amazon streaming

Hi Goners. Thought I would drop in. Been a while. Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. Kicking off todays listening with The Doobie Brothers Minute by Minute. Next up is Lonnie Liston Smith live.

Rage Against the Machine - CD

I hghly recommend Synergistic Research's Purple fuses. I have them providing juice to my Naim Supernait 3, Naim nDAC, Teddy Pardo XPS power supply and Teddy Pardo XPS power supply.

I’m also currently burning in a Furutech GTX-D Gold receptical. It's around the 325 hour mark and sounding very musical.

I highly recommend both products. Email Chris VanHaus at VH Audio for first class knowledge and customer service.

@reubent

Thanks. Yessir! I’m back listening again That slump is coming to an end. You know how it is. I have not stopped buying records tho and now I am looking forward to getting caught up. It’s funny how you take for granted how good your system sounds until you have not heard it in months. So I’m like a Kid in a candy store right now.

@david_ten   +1 for Paolo Nutini  ---  Last Night In The Bittersweet

Some really good songs on this new album. A friend brought it to my attention. Streamed it a couple of times and ordered the LP from the UK.

@reubent   Agree. 😊

I'm heading out to listen to a friend's system, this evening. He's primarily analog...his fall back option is digital. I'm curious to listen to Nutini via his Rockport - vintage ARC - dCS chain. I'm guessing he will appreciate Nutini as well.

Just arrived today…

Ahmad Jamal - Live in Paris 1996. Birdology/Dreyfus Jazz, released 2003.

Recorded live on October 26, 1996 by the Radio France Mobile Studio at Salle Pleyel in Paris, France

Beethoven early piano sonatas. Barenboim's first complete recording.

Usually listen to the mid or later pieces, but Barenboim makes them sound like early Beethoven and not late Mozart.

Sinead O' - I do not want what I haven't got.

Spectacular.

And

Mark Knopfler Sailing to Philadelphia

Notable as well. Great recording!

Yosi Horikawa - Timbres [96/24, Qobuz]

Not much of a musical track, but a very fun electronic listen to a smorgasbord of sounds, especially if your sound system is really dialed in. Has great potential to make you say to yourself "wow, my system sounds flipping fantastic!"

Same goes for the tracks "In the wind" and "Fluid" on the same album, although they are much more musical.

@nutty  - I'm a big fan of Crack the Sky. In 1978-82, my college roommate was from Weirton, West Virginia where CTS originated. He brought all his LPs to our apt. Loved them ever since...
