...Smashing Pumpkins "Siamese Dream"... ( I saw The Smashing Pumpkins locally around 15 years ago. At this time, D'arcy was replaced by the bassists from Hole, Jimmy Chamberlin had ongoing drug issues and it was not a given that he would continue as their drummer. Jimmy was still featured by his drum kit being more, front and center, and I still recall this as one of my "moments" when I realized how great of a drummer he was/is. They performed a cover of Van Halen's "Everybody Wants Some" that was epic!) AC/DC "High Voltage" ++ Cheers! |
Rush, 2112, CD. Great music to start the day, warm up the equipment. Monster Magnet, powertrip, song " Space lord thumps"! CD. U2, Acthung Baby, CD. Dream Theater, Awake, CD. I'm currently burning in a second set of Clear Day Double Shotgun's. Running a true biwire configuration. Not sure if I like the Double/Doubles or the Jumper configuration better? Both are sweet. N |
Allman Brothers Band. Enlightened Rogues. Lp . Nice listening Montrose Paper Money. Lp Montrose Jump On It. Lp Oleschool. Actually my cable provider has Axs Tv. I do watch it . 5 & 1 system separate from my 2 channel set up Nutty. Right when this thread started, beside from being a Robin Trower Fan, . I had a few different cables that were just settling in and we're just starting to make re-listening to my music quite enjoyable. Almost like having different speakers , but it was cables. I do run a True Bi-wire set up with "The One" cables. My mono amps and my speakers both have dual hook up. Making hook-up very easy I almost could not listen to my speakers with a single imput when compared to bi-wire, never tried a jumper set up. I would describe my bi-wire set up as having much more gain R |
Perhaps this post should be in the "Misc" forum but her goes. I wanted to let you all know that thanks to arcam88, I am currently reading: "Glenn Hughes, The Autobiography, From Deep Purple To Black Country Communion". It is a very self depreciating story and Glenn leaves nothing to the imagination. I mean nothing. Some great pictures, even one with Glenn on the back of Tommy Bolin in Glenn’s pool! Quote "I love this pic, as I loved this boy". I don’t want to spoil it for you but there is even a story about Linda Blair.... N |
I have been listening to a lot of Robben Ford...for several years. Have seen him in concert several times. Some vinyl out there on Robben. Rory Gallagher is mentioned in "The OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST" DVD. Then there is Live at Montreux and a Bio on him. I enjoy seeing him and his style...then listening to his CDs. His brother is mostly managing his releases, last I heard. Most all of his stuff is out on CD and Rory played in the group called " TASTE". Hard for me to single out any one album on Rory?? Hard to go wrong with him too! Also have listened to a lot of Robert Cray!! Have also seen him in concert several times. Great, Great talent Robert is. In Cray and Ford they were so Great in concert...I find myself going back to them a lot. It is an overall Musical Relationship in that sense. I relate a visual and sound picture with them all, because of their great stage presence as well as Musicianship. |
TKO, Let it roll. I have it on CD-recorded from LP. "Gutter Boy" is another great cut. https://youtu.be/fXwjvboJ1Ng N |
