Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Christmas Music from the 1500's, 1600's, instruments from the period

My new to me tt that is coming better sound as good as this one. It's nothing special, Audio Technica and Shure 97xe, but it is a very involving system. Via phono preamp in vintage McIntosh mx110z tube tuner/preamp to Cayin A88T Tube amp.

I had excellent Thorens TD124 with SME 3009 arm with both Shure and Audio-Technica microline stylus. I really like this current one.
The Who, “Who”         On vinyl
Savoy Brown, “City Night”         On vinyl
Savoy Brown, “Witchy Feelin”    On CD
Great album Ozzy!

It's a grey lazy Saturday morning here in Florida so....
Good old FM radio.
96.9 The Eagle.
80&90 rock.
Red .... King Crimson.
40th Anniversary remastered.
A stunning piece of work by Fripp and Wilson.
Who said DVD-A is dead?

Listening to the DVD-A disc right now.
Fantasmagorical!

I actually bought all of the King Crimson 40th anniversary remix sets!
Thanks for the tip off on King Crimson Red. Would you believe I stumbled on an auction for the Japanese CD of Red with 39 seconds left on the clock. I won the auction with bid of 6 dollars. 🤗
Great freaking deal GK!
Jelly much!

Islands ..... King Crimson 40th anniversary remastered DVD-A.
Point of Departure  ---  Andrew Hill (plus Kenny Dorham, Eric Dolphy, Joe Henderson, Richard Davis and Anthony Williams)
Pin Your Spin  --- Jon Cleary and The Absolute Monster Gentlemen (New Orleans Blues / Funk)  Go Tigers!!!
I Can Tell --- John Hammond

Hard change in music genre, with Taj Mahal providing the intermediary seque... : )
Koko Taylor  ---  Koko Taylor  (continuing with Electric Chicago Blues and missing the audio crew up in Chicagoland)
Nasty Gal - Betty Davis (one of the best albums I have ever heard)
Is It Love or Desire - Betty Davis
They Say I am Different - Betty Davis
Betty Davis - Betty Davis

This is some incredible music. A Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix connection exists with Betty Davis.

Hard to say.
It's outstanding but is it due to the format, the Esoteric player or the fact it's a Steven Wilson/ Robert Fripp remaster?
Or all of the above... Lol.

This is now the third King Crimson DVD-A remaster I have played so far and all have been sonically superb.
One nice feature of the DVD-A format is lots of extras like complete instrumental version of the album from the 69 master tapes.

And it's all in 24/96 hires format.

The albums include a CD and a DVD-A so you are good to go if you only have a CDP.
Hmm, my Marantz disc spinner only plays CD and SACD. I could play them on my Oppo UDP-203 though.
Dave Brubeck ~ Take Five
 <3
Wait a lonely lifetime? If you want me to, i will. <3

Mirage .... Fleetwood Mac.
R2R.

This was a factory sealed reel I picked up and dating from 1982 must be near the very end of commercial record label reel releases.
I just copied a lot of my collection to ROON. It's music that I haven't heard in a long time. I have added Perfect Path products to my system and things are still improving. I'm presently listening to the the self titled "Nickle Creek" cd. It  has never sounded better.
Killing me Softly ... Ferrante & Teicher.

R2R 7.5ips.

It really does not matter if you like this or not the SQ is somewhere past 11.....

A great system test tape.
Hey uber!!! Happy new year to ya
