So, the Knopfler box is all the Abbey Road remasters, right? Since I agree with @slaw about Local Hero, the box might be more of the same?

@j_husker  Who won the Local Hero shootout? Was it a buzzer-beater or a blow out?

I’ve listened to the first 3 titles in the Knopfler box and I’m very impressed @sbank .

@slaw oh brother, another pricey one to the wishlist! Thanks, Steve

This one is great tunes but tiny "mix in a box"

Local Hero wasn’t really that close of a contest to my ears. My OG Radio station promo copy was bested in every way by the Mofi. My promo copy isn’t bad by any stretch, I’d call it above average vinyl sonically. Mobile Fidelity did a really good job with this new press.

Another surprise,

Steve, how does Fashion Nugget sound?  I streamed it on Qobuz and that sounded amazing.  Waiting for my vinyl copy to show up...

Hey Greg,

I’ve owned several of their cds that always sounded great in my vehicle. I have high hopes for the vinyl!

The Kohon Quartet of New York University : Dvořák - Chamber Music (Complete) Vol. I

There will be a lot of vinyl spinning here the next few weeks. Had my right knee replaced yesterday. Think I’ll start with this one:

Billy Joel - Glass Houses, Japanese pressing. Not a big Billy Joel fan and this sounds pretty dated in terms of production.

Beethoven-Symphony No,5(Ozawa LSC-3132) Side 1

Pointer Sisters-Special Things Side 1

Larry Vuckovich-City Sounds, Villages Voices Side 2 SQ Audiophile

The Bama Band-ST Side 2 SQ Audiophile

The Scott Hamilton Quintet-The Right Time(CJ-311) Side 2 SQ Audiophile

Alice Cooper-Greatest Hits Side 1

Scott McKenzie-The Voice Of... Side 1

Mel Torme/Buddy Rich-Together Again-For The First Time Side B SQ Audiophile

Finally spun some vinyl!! 4/8 Audiophile SQ recordings is an unattainable goal if you buy recordings you like no just based on SQ. Alice had the worst SQ. Sometimes the "Greatest Hits" versions are poorly done. I will give the SQ crown To Larry Vuckovich over Hamilton’s CJ release due to being less edgy(relaxed) in the treble.
