@slaw Jack White is a genius and keeping vinyl alive.

I am listening to The Beatles Greatest Hits 1961-1966 the lost performances.

Radiohead, Kid A Mnesia

Terry Allen & The Panhandle Mystery Band "Bloodlines"

2022/Paradise of Batchelors

a replacement copy 🤞

Another new arrival today….

Daniil Trifonov - Bach: The Art Of Life. Deutsche Grammophon 2021 3LP gatefold.

Picked up a mint copy of Big World by Joe Jackson for $7 at a local record store.  Excellent recording - listening to it right now. Also, no ticks and pops (rare w used records).

Loggins and Messina - S/T

1972 Columbia

Nice sounding pressing. Great job by Jimmy Messina producing especially on Angry Eyes.

Steely Dan / Aja
1977 ABC

Back from some R&R on the Oregon Coast, blue skies and ocean breezes.. Needing some high-fidelity tonight, this LP does it.

Gregg Allman / Laid Back
2015 Analogue Productions, orig. 1973

Fabulous SQ on these records tonight!

The Traffic album is recommended. Really quiet and great sounding!

Same as the box set pressing.

Beth Hart  -  Bang Bang Boom Boom   White vinyl reissue, limited to 500 copies.  With all that hype I figured it would be great SQ.  Well, just so-so.  But the music is great!  Love Beth Hart.

Alan Parsons Project  -  Eye In The Sky   Mobile Fidelity issue, just released.  I always like this album very much.  But I can't find my copy.  So, I bought this reissue from MoFi.  WOW, they really did an excellent job on this one.  Exceptionally quiet vinyl, killer sonics.

Hey Joel,

I have the op of that Beth Hart lp and it sounds great from memory.

Her Albert Hall set is great!

So far my impressions are positive on my new to me phono stage. I feel comparing resistors in the MC , will be critical. Then I’ll focus on a passive volume.

There’s a beauty now in the presentation that wasn’t there before. Although the SS could have more bloom😕 Lot’s of options going forward .

There’s much more of a difference in album to album SQ now.

A blessing and a curse

Another interesting fact, my Trio uses 3/6922

The Audia Flight is SS. Bass is incredible.

@slaw

Steve, do you have the ability to switch between the two phono pre’s ‘on the fly’? That would be interesting.

@slaw

Wasn’t sure, as you have two TT’s (albeit, yes, two different tables, arms, carts, etc)…….or, just for fun, an RCA switch box. No, nothing to leave in the chain, but I know I could find myself using to check out one vs the other temporarily. 😉

Steve…i might have 2x interesting 6922 for you…. Cryo “ Russian Rockets “…. stay tuned brother !

I am streaming Patty Griffin - Tape… lovely NPR interview w her on Weekend Edition…. ;-) I dig her….

It's one of my original thoughts as to my current decoupling system Brian
