Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

Dave Mason -  It's Like You Never Left   Great music, OK on the SQ, but not great.

Phoebe Snow - Second Childhood  Wonderful album of music, and excellent SQ.

Steely Dan - Gaucho  What an awesome album, as most everyone knows.  I got an early promo copy, with gold stamp on it.  Just fantastic SQ.

Time to prepare dinner now, and then a Clippers game.  More vinyl tomorrow.

Steve, hang in there.  I do understand just how difficult it is for you.  Take care.

Busy weekend, but back in the listening room spinning vinyl.

Grateful Dead-What a Long Strange Trip it's Been 1977 WB RE

And this beauty.

Antibalas, Fu Chronicles.

Portishead Roseland NYC Live.

Radiohead The Bends.

Ash Ra Tempel “Schwingungen” MG Art Germany 2021 reissue of Ohr Germany 1972 release

The U-Men “X-Mas Concert At Interstate Mall” Tri-City 1978 (according to David Thomas, this was an inside job Pere Ubu bootleg)

Polkacide “s/t” Subterranean 1986

Ace / Time For Another
1975 Anchor

I like this record, play it a lot. I was noticing it wasn’t sounding so great and there was more surface noise than usual. I realized I hadn’t de-magnetized the Delos in a while. This gadget is amazing, reduced the surface noise to almost nothing and restored bass and detail I didn’t realize I was missing. Only works on moving coils. Highly recommended!

Shostakovich, Symphony No.1 - Symphony No.9 Walter Weller.

Holst, The Planets

Walter Bishop, Jr.'s 4th Cycle-Keeper Of My Soul 2021 Real Gone Music

Fantastic record in every sense, highly recommended.

@slaw hang in there man ;-) you are a treasure to your mom and family.

i will put together some streaming / DAC thoughts….via PM

Tony Joe White - Black and White ( AAP reissue…super quiet vinyl…tuberolling some ancient Telefunken into the Herron…..

Recent arrivals; 7 x various Scriabin from the used bin…yowsa…

Bob Dylan - Infidels

1983 Columbia Records

Love this album. Mark Knopfler and Mick Taylor on guitars.

@tomic601

Amazing that Infidels was 20 years after his first album. And more amazing that he is still releasing albums.

@bslon Great reminder, i ran Delos thru the Cardas sweep disc a week or so ago. I also now have a surplus Sumiko Fluxbuster i can loan to people on this thread in need. Could send it in Spring…

Best to all

Graham Parker-And The Shot Steady Nerves Side 1 SQ*

Norman Connors-Love From The Sun Side B SQ Audiophile

With 5/8 recordings delivering Audiophile SQ makes for a great night. As expected Aerosmith was the weak link in SQ. *Graham Parker was a very good but aggressive(hot) recording. The SQ winner was The John Colianni Trio which is a near reference level recording!

Reubent, +1 for "Rough Mix". Great music and a top shelf recording

Been listening to some great stuff since my prior post

Roxy Music / Flesh & blood

Roxy Music / Avalon

Rolling Stones / Let it bleed

Rolling Stones / Tattoo you

Rolling Stones / Some girls

I haven't listened to the stones in a while...Very enjoyable!

@boxer12  - +1 for "Rough Mix". Great music and a top shelf recording

Agreed. Great album.

BTW, I really like Rolling Stones - "Tattoo You". Will have to pull it out in the near future and give it a spin...

Aeolian String Quartet : Haydn - Volume One: String Quartets Op. 71 & 74. London Treasury Series 1973 3LP box

Traffic - Low Spark ( stuck in Traffic )

Put a better power cord on Herron

The Byrds - Mr Tambourine Man

2013 Sundazed Mono Reissue

Fantastic SQ pressed at QRP.

Clark, Hillman, Crosby, McGuinn and a 12 String Rickenbacker.

Who else could get away with covering four Dylan songs on their first album.

Supertramp-Breakfast in America 2018 Mofi

While this pressing is noise free, every time I play it I’m glad I paid the $35 retail for it new. One of the few cases where the OG record is noticeably better than the Mofi (in my opinion).
