Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

So, the latest Robbie Robertson album - "Sinematic" is pretty darn good. Check it out via streaming and buy the LP if you like it. The quality of the vinyl LP is really good.

Thanks Tom, Will check it out.

some great stuff represented here the last few hours: Smithereens, Gary Burton, Morphine, Porcupine Tree.  Gives me ideas…

@j_husker   Best wishes to you on a speedy recovery from knee surgery.  I have had 3 such surgeries myself.  Not fun, but with dedicated PT all is good in the end.  I hope that you have a very strong and successful outcome.

Cannonball Adderley

@sbank  Good morning!

Motels-ST appears to be an original pressing. I will post dead wax info later today.

Dr. John - In The Right Place.  I forgot this was a multi-colored pressing and kind of freaked out a little when I took it out of the sleeve.  I thought something was wrong with it.  What a great record though, it's been too long since I played it!

Spencer ; like everything i have heard from that duo, it never fails to satisfy…i don’t know that anything can shine with such a bright light as Harrow and the Harvest, but i enjoy this..consider myself lucky to score a reissue copy…i need to be more on top of upcoming releases and preorder…

@bslon  - I love Budgie! I have a good portion of their album output, including "Bandolier"

Just arrived back home from being out town, and this was delivered.

Took me three attempts to buy a copy of this before a seller could actually locate his copy in their inventory. Crazy.

This was a reunion for these three as ‘Poll Winners’. Looking forward to this….thanks Jim for the heads up on this trio, never knew these three had a group together before.

By this set you’ve added even more depth to the sophistication and good taste already reflected on this thread I appreciate this posting. Kronos Quartet is challenging for me sometimes but in a way that I feel is good. I streamed that record and I think it’s very good. Thanks.

@bkeske @tomic601

Streaming “Straight Ahead”.   Nice!

Seeing another album to try “Cannonball Adderely and the Poll Winners”

Interesting James. I think it was my CD’s of Kronos that got me more interested in ‘classical’. I had a chance to see them live at an ‘after hours’ party in a huge unfurnished commercial loft space. I believe they had just performed live in town, and accepted the invite afterwards. Pretty surreal actually, they, performing within this big space as others mingled and gathered around them. I was literally standing in front of them, amazed as I watched and listened.

@sbank

Motels-ST The black label has Motels in red cursive text with a red kiss imprint. The dead wax has mastered by capitol stamped on both sides. Hope this helps.

The Modern Jazz Quartet - The Modern Jazz Quartet & Orchestra. Remix/Remaster. Atlantic, Unknown date, but believe early to mid 70’s. Originally 1961

@reubent Pulling out Bandolier gives me a grin when I see the album art. Burke Shelley passed away this month at 71 years old, RIP. They put out a lot of records.
