We've been stripping wallpaper so not much vinyl spinning the last few days.

Finally go to my new Iron Butterfly album.  But first...

Iron Butterfly  "Heavy"  My original copy from 8th grade was toast so I got a VG+ copy some years back to replace it.  Cleaned it today in the Degritter and it's fairly good and quiet.  The music brings back some wonderful memories.  It's actually my favorite from the band.

Iron Butterfly  "In-A-Gada-Da-Vida"  MoFi issue, Supervinyl.  I'll say, that Supervinyl sure is wonderful.  I think that MoFi did a great job capturing everything from the original analog tape.  Very good depth, separation, and every instrument is very well pronounced.  A bit tilted up, as Steve had said of his period press copy, but only on a few songs on side 1.  Overall it's very acceptable.  The album is an absolute classic and I am very glad that I got this new issue from MoFi.  Really, it sounds quite good.  Now I need to get a VG+ or NM/M- copy of "Ball" and my Iron Butterfly collection will be complete.

Dinner, then a Clippers NBA game, and more music later tonight.

Saint-Saëns, Orchestre National De France, Jean Martinon – Symphony In A / Symphony In F Urbs Roma (Angel 1976)

Side 1

Joel - our strategy right or wrong, has been to move when wallpaper is involved...

great Pacific sunset this eve....

Move out when wallpapering? We stayed when all the windows were contractor replaced, central air installed, and cedar siding replaced and painted all at the same time!

Iron Butterfly – Live (Atco 1970)

Man, that sounds of a time.

I should have been more clear if DIY wallpaper involved, sell and move !

Yes, i have been the general on three remodels, but i hate wallpaper..

Charles Lloyd and the Marvels - Tone Poem

....dig this, really anything they do.....

Ha! I wallpapered a room once. The pattern ended up upside-down on opposing walls. Herself was not impressed. At least it was bubble free. Thankfully, we only paint now.

Monk-Palais Des Beaux-Arts 1963

Miles-'Round About Midnight 2021 Speakers Corner

Thoroughly enjoying the music the MA352 makes. I did find that I prefer the way the Linn sounds with this amp more than the other two TT in my stable. Not a bad thing by any means.

We did an enzyme strip and repaint as a " diy couple " way back when the inventory of patience was high and love cup runneth over, .....

we are ardent subcontractors now.....

DIY homeowners and HGTV have created tons of business for me. A blessing or a curse, depending on the day....

Great Bowie album Steve!

Pressed Meat & The Smallgoods / Presents

Noromance (Brian) - Not sure if this is available via streaming or not, but pretty sure you would enjoy it.

@slaw  - Hey Steve! How's the new Courtney record? Was thinking about picking up a copy...

Sir Adrian Boult conducts Vaughan Williams - Symphony No. 9. The London Philharmonic Orchestra. Everest repress. Date unknown, but believe early to mid 60’s.

@reubent streaming What Do You Want From Live on your cue from a few days ago....what a hoot, they are way tighter band than I remember....

Boulez conducts Ravel - Daphnis Et Chloé Suite No. 2 / Pavane For A Dead Princess / Rapsodie Espagnole / Alborada Del Gracioso. The Cleveland Orchestra. Columbia Masterworks reissue.

Lee Morgan  The Cooker

Blue Mitchell. African Violet

Frank Zappa   Orchestra favorites

@tomic601

they are way tighter band than I remember....

The Tubes never received their due for musicianship. I think their playing was overshadowed by their antics. However, they were, and still are, a group of great musicians.

@reubent

I am actually disappointed in Courtney’s latest.

It doesn’t live up to the promise of her potential.
