Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO

@puffball08 Sounds like you know what you are doing. I'm striking Jupiter's caps off my want lists! Consider posting your system to Virtual Systems. I'm intrigued.

@noromance Don’t be hasty about writing off Jupiter capacitors. I did a fair amount of capacitor rolling and still am most impressed with the Jupiter copper foil and wax.

If you have the physical space, I would not hesitate to use Jupiters.

Surfside now.... going thru UV overload... ton of dust removal to do before reinstall Herron, dinner w Mother in Law this eve... probably sneak in some streaming...

@sbank Spencer - my appreciation as well on your thoughtful posts and very +++ contributions over the many years- may we be graced with many more...

@slaw Steve - playing catch-up and saw your preliminary thoughts on Breakfast in America, I played it once up North but also want to see what the Lyra does w it here... I also have the new MoFi

Good to hear you made it safe and sound Jim.  Sounds like the trip went a little faster than planned.

Greg - 3 days vs. our " normal " 2.. but should have done 3.5... God i hate the full length of LA in rush hour.... haulback of LP and gear made me leary of overnite parking...

Pink Floyd - Momentary Lapse via Tidal, sounding good thru NAIM / Music Reference and Treo...

thanks Brian....Sunset made the drive worth it..

Welch / Rwalings - All the Good Times ( streamer )

Not sure where to go after this.

After a short wait I was able to bring home a new MA352 today. Lots of listening to do!

Jim, very good that you made the trip both safe and sound.  Welcome back to So Cal.  Really warm in So. Cal. for November at 88 degrees today.  Sure hope it cools off and that it rains.  We need the precipitation, desperately.

For those who want a good taste of nostalgia, in a high quality reissue, MoFi has released the Iron Butterfly "In-A-Gada-Da Vida" on SuperVinyl, mastered from the original master tapes and pressed at RTI.  Not cheap, at $59.99.  It's limited to 3,000 numbered copies.  Great fun and depth of organ music.  If you are interested they are available only at Music Direct and also direct purchase from Mobile Fidelity.  I ordered a copy last week from MoFi and received it today.  Number 1090.  If they are making 1,000 copies from a stamper (usually the case) then I have number 90 on the next stamper.  Ha!

I forgot to mention, I saw Iron Butterfly in 1970.  The Swing Auditorium, somewhere around 10th row, slightly off center stage.  I remember it to this day.😊

@big_greg Love that album FLC is a fun band.

I am listening to:

Radiohead, Hail To The Thief, XL HS Master.

Beck Bogart & Appice Epic 1973

I also got the InAGadaDaVida reissue, No. 910. What a trip! My original is rife with surface noise so I'm happy to get a quality replacement. The title track, what a song!

I saw Iron Butterfly with Uriah Heep in 1969 at the Salem, OR National Guard Armory of all places. Like mammothguy64, I remember it to this day.

McGuinn, Clark & Hillman /McGuinn, Clark & Hillman

1979 Capitol

J Husker - congrats on the MA :-)))) enjoy in great health :-) I brought the 1961 MC240 back w me - hopefully it will outlive me.

hope yourS brings the same enjoyment !!!!!

Wondering Joel, if the Iron Butterfly is worth it in your opinion if one has a clean pp?

Hey, thanks to everyone on this thread for their kind words. All I did was share musical suggestions, same thing you are doing here daily. So...

Wilco - Ode to Joy (pink vinyl from wilcostore, which is having a huge sale right now. BTW, they have $10 posters always designed by local artists from almost every show)

wilcodogs

Someone said Acony! Gillian Welch - Soul Journey

Tomic,

Thanks! I try to avoid all the Mc hatred and forum noise. I have lusted over the blue meters for 40+ years. Fortunate to be at a place in my life where "end game" gear is becoming a reality after having jumped back into hifi. So far the MA352 just makes me smile.

The Band-Rock of Ages Ume RE 2015

Lyle Lovett - Large Band

....oh man, i am liking my strategy of focusing analog South....

War Dept. tapping foot

" if it's not too late, make mine a cheeseburger please , "

@tomic601 love "Large Band" pretty good sounding for a digital recording.

Rickie Lee Jones - Traffic From Paradise

The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow

Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings - Naturally

Alberta Hunter - Amtrak Blues

thx for the recommendation Brian @noromance , this is really a fantastic disc..

@sbank for sure, i should have said flat black plastic disc South, provenance questionable...ha.
