@slaw Steve, she had some vinyl for sale at the merch bar, but I passed because I didn't want to lug it around with me. I probably should have grabbed some.
@tomic601 Jim, I'm putting my vax to the test this weekend. Wilco tonight.
Juilliard String Quartet : Debussy - String Quartet In G Minor, Op. 10 & Ravel - String Quartet In F. RCA Red Seal reissue, perhaps late 60’s, originally 1960
FedEx today, new arrivals. I check you guys’ recommendations a few nights a week, thought I’d throw something in the mix. Motown Collected, double white vinyl. Cool songs, mostly ‘60’s stuff. A few take me back to am radio days. Some good selections here. The Blue Stingrays, Surf And Burn. All instrumental, rumor is the band is Tom Petty Heartbreaker guys that always liked surf music. I’m not a big Motown or Surf Music fan, just felt like listening to something different for a change. Fun stuff!
Puffball, It was a wonderful bike ride! Explored the UP for about a week. Moved around a lot. Copper Harbor was particularly beautiful. Only had two pasties the whole trip :-)
Painters/Electricians have delayed the set up of my system. With any luck I should have my 2 dedicated lines installed by 10/25! Have enjoyed that several newer posters have added immensely to this thread.
David Bowie "Station To Station" Got the idea to play this from a posting above. Bought this in 1976, as soon as it was released. Perfect condition!
John Mayall & Friends "Along For The Ride" I said that I would play this on Saturday night, and I did. Marvelous album.
Roger Waters "Amused To Death" Analogue Productions/QRP issue. What an experience this album is. The musical composition is quite interesting, but the sonics are out of this world.
Dave Matthews Live at Red Rocks ‘95. The influence of DMB isn’t fully appreciated yet. This live show ranks near the top at Red Rocks all time, which just happens to be one of the most amazing outdoor venues for music.
Last May I ordered Analogue Productions’ UHQR of Miles Davis “Kind of Blue.” FedEx delivered it today and my oh my it was worth the wait! Amazing sound!
