CocoRosie - Grey Oceans (Sub Pop 2010)
|
@spiritofradio I can't seem to find Deja Vu on Rhino Records. The Atlantic label, box set with 4 CD and the vinyl is available at $99 and is well reviewed. I'd rather just get the vinyl alone. Any suggestions?
|
Joel, that is the new Rhino release. Not certain if you can get just the original album. The alternate takes album/set (one of the cds) is coming out on record store day as a stand alone album. I didn’t research this. Just bought the deluxe package you referred to at my LRS the other day. |
@noromance OK, will limit the discussion to cheap wine. |
Spirit, thanks for the quick reply. On the sites Acoustic Sounds and Elusive Disc the listing only shows Atlantic and no mention of Rhino. I went to the Rhino site and they don't have any listing of the album. Hmmm... Then I read all of the description and, indeed, it states this is a Rhino release. They typically state that on the listing but, oh well, it really doesn't matter. I have the first album on order for the UD1Step release (which will likely ship later this year). I'll get this to complete the set. These two albums were a part of life in mid-teenage years. Of course those copies became thrashed. I need to replace them. Thanks again. |

Isaac Hayes "Black Moses" Craft Recordings
This is the only copy I've heard. It's very enjoyable. Compared to my other IH lps, it's slightly less open but it has great separation, width, full midrange and bass. There is a small siblance issue on all (s) sounds. This may be a remastering problem.....? I'd give it a solid 9. |
BTW,. I got in the Stable 33.33 lp center hole reamer. Works like a charm! |
