Sir John Barbirolli conducts Vaughan Williams - A London Symphony. Hallé Orchestra. Angel 1968
Sorry,
I was away until today.
I have only ordered 2 from the Audiophile USA site, and have not had any problems. All have been in top condition.
Thanks to others that chimed in.
I probably should have said a little more about the Jeff Beck Blow by Blow 45RPM Analogue Productions I listened to last night.  That was one of the best sounding records I've listened to in a while, very quiet vinyl, really dynamic, and great imaging and soundstage.  I also picked up Wired, haven't had a chance to listen to that yet.
Sir John Barbirolli conducts Vaughan Williams - Symphony #5. Philharmonia Orchestra. Angel 1962
Miles Davis
Bitches Brew
Columbia 1970 (OP)

Continuing our Wayne Shorter weekend listening @Keeglam

@bkeske, The good Williams.
How is your aunt doing?  How are you doing?  I’ve been feeling for you man.
@big_greg, thanks for the report on the Jeff Beck.  I already have those in OP from High School days, but have been thinking about upgrading.  Sounds worthwhile.
Sir John Barbirolli conducts Elgar - Introduction And Allegro For Strings, Op. 47 / Serenade In E Minor, Op. 20. The Allegri String Quartet & Vaughan Williams - Fantasia On A Theme By Thomas Tallis / Fantasia On "Greensleeves". The Sinfonia Of London. Angel reissue 1980’s, originally 1963

How is your aunt doing? How are you doing?

James, thanks for asking. We are all shocked that she is hanging on, at 96. Her stubbornness to the end. Yesterday was not good, she was in a ‘strange’ place, lashing out, and not believing those around her were who they said. That was hard, but to be expected I guess. But, I think today she may be close to moving on. Sadly, I hope so.

I’m not going to rush over today until I am needed at this point. I’ll have enough work to do following.

I’m fine, but didn’t see this coming, nobody did. She hasn’t been well, (who is at that age?), but still, her current condition happened rather suddenly.
@bkeske, maybe she had a stroke or a series of small strokes. Happened to my Father a couple of times and he got exceptionally cranky for awhile afterward. I wonder if music would help her. Just listening, you know.
Happy Easter (to everyone).
@spiritofradio James, I think it's a reference quality recording and if you're a Jeff Beck fan and like that record, a no-brainer.
James, yes, she has some music in her bedroom as long as it isn’t bothering her or keeping her from rest. It’s a good thing they didn’t put me in charge of that 😉😁
Regarding the Jeff Beck albums cited, the answer is absolutely YES, they are stunning.  I have the original pressings of both of those albums and they are fairly respectable SQ but both have rather noisy vinyl.  From when I first bought them to now my systems are very different, with the present system of a far greater resolution and very revealing.  I bought both on the AP 45 RPM and they are absolutely incredible.  I tend to think that Blow By Blow is a little better than Wired in overall SQ.  Most likely that is due to the original tape and how it was mixed.  AP remastered these albums so well that I sit in the sweet spot and find myself with jaw opened, in awe, at the 3-D imaging.  Especially for Blow By Blow, the imaging is spectacular.  If you  are a fan of Jeff Beck these two albums from AP in 45 RPM should most certainly be a part of your collection.
Watched a movie last night so only a couple of albums before it was time for bed.  Since Dire Straits was being discussed a couple of days ago I figured that it should be a Dire Straits evening.

Love Over Gold   Original pressing, SQ is very good and vinyl is quiet.

Dire Straits S/T  AP 45 RPM.  An absolute masterpiece of a production.  I mean the music as well as the remastered issue.  When finished I was like, "holy crap, that was a hell of an experience".  I want more like that!
Carlo Maria Giulini conducts Britten - Four Sea Interludes, Op. 33a (From "Peter Grimes") & The Young Person's Guide To The Orchestra, Op. 34 (Variations And Fugue On A Theme Of Purcell). Philharmonia Orchestra. Angel reissue 1980’s, originally 1964.

Dang, haven’t listened to this for a while, it’s like someone chewed on this LP unfortunately.
no tunes last eve, just time in Outlaw Mom’s’ backyard with Gyoza, Fried rice and Bulgogi....ya, i know typical Easter fare...some Davis Family Vineyards Syrah....stories, Egg hunt for the kids....

home super late...

Shawn Colvin - Steady On. Albums like this make me happy that I moved the Harbeths back into my main system.
Zubin Mehta conducts Bruckner - Symphony No 9. Wiener Philharmoniker. London 1965.
The Incredible String Band ‎– The Hangman’s Beautiful Daughter (Elektra ‎1968)

I'd listen to this all day if I didn't have to pay taxes.
Time for my weekend Martinů ‘fix’....

Panocha Quartet plays Martinů - String Quartets Nos. 4 And 6. Supraphon 1988 Czechoslovakia pressing

Listening to a copy of Eddie Daniels' Brief Encounter on Muse Records.  Found it for a dollar at a local book store and it sounds great!

"European Impressions"

Unbelievable you posted this.  One of my most cherished albums, but very obscure.  Coryell saw music theory in his head and laid it out on the frets, with passion.  He may have dinked notes every so often, but it was the essense of the music he sought and revered, and I was on board 100%.  I was lucky enough to catch him performing many, many times over a couple decades starting in '79.

Yo-Yo Ma and the Cleveland Quartet - Schubert Quintet, Op, 163, D 956. CBS Masterworks 1984
