Here’s How Records Give You
More Of What You Want:

• The Best For Less. Records give you top quality for less money than any other recorded form.

• They Allow Selectivity Of Songs And Tracks.  With records it’s easy to pick out the songs you want to play, or to play again in a particular song or side.  All you have to do is lift the tone arm and place it where you want it.  You can’t do this as easily with anything but a phonograph record.

Ellis Marsalis
For All We Know

I felt a need (for me) to kinda give an update on the Noteworthy Audio ICs.

As most of you know @boxer12, Tim's wife had a serious medical problem that's left his products in the rear view. I wish her well and I personally know how demanding taking care of someone is.

I had his dedicated phono cable in house for a while and it sounded great. In that time I also and still have his standard IC. When I hooked this one up from my sub to amp while the phono cable was installed, my jaw dropped. This was still with my Marc Tunis IC from phono-pre to sub. Wow! I am still wondering how having the two Noteworthy Audio ICs in the signal path, disrupted by the Marc Tunis cable was sounding SO good?

So that's where I'm at now. Sent the dedicated phono back for some tweaking.
William & McEuen (presents "Will The Circle Be Unbroken"
3lp/United Artists/1972 if I'm reading my Roman numerals correctly.

This was a gift from brother @tomic601 . Never knew of it's existence until now
An update on the SOTA Eclipse package.

I love it! Hopefully SOTA will eventually offer a complete, drop-in system, for the VPI  tt's.

For now, I'm going to figure out my perfect system. Probably a carbon fiber motor plate. Stay tuned......
Sorry for the earlier typo...

William E McEuen

Lp1 sounded great!

Lp2 up now........................
Nearing the end of the aforementioned "WTCBU". Wow!!! Bluegrass at it's best. SQ at it's best.

Saving lp3 for later.

Thanks Jim!
My "playlist" today, had a lot of thought behind it today.

I’m very happy!

@boxer12 Sorry to hear of your wife's illness.
I have a pair of Tim's ICs. I've no idea of their price point but they sound very nice.

Batch of a few LP’s arrived today....

Michael Tilson Thomas conducts Walter Piston Symphony #2 & William Schuman Violin Concerto. Boston Symphony Orchestra. Deutsche Grammophon 1971 Germany
@tomic601 ,

"Too Long in the Wasteland" is an imperfect but enjoyable record. I think the praise it received years ago wouldn't happen these days. I'm referring to SQ.

It's a digital recording and it lacks soul. The content is wonderful.

Sir John Barbirolli conducts Vaughan Williams - A London Symphony. The Halle Orchestra. Angel, late 60’s per label. Originally 1968 His Masters Voice/EMI
Spooky Tooth "The Last Puff" A&M/pp

Starts out with a very cool version of "I Am the Walrus"
Prague String Quartet Plays Dvorak - Streichquartett Nr. 10 Es-Dur Op.51 & Streichquartett Nr. 8 E-Dur Op. 80. Deutsche Grammophon. Unsure when this was released, but probably late 70’s. German release.

Sounds great.
The Beatles UK Blue Box
I bought this unplayed 3 years ago.

I have much experience with The Beatles, I can say, so far, these are the best sounding stereo, versions I’ve heard.

Super quiet.

Only cleaned the first two lps so far.
Natalie Merchant "Paradise There" ( The New Tigerlily Recordings)

If you're searching for more Natalie on vinyl.......

I own "Tigerlily" MFSL

I think this version sounds at least as good, probably better. Posted about it years ago.
Jean Martinon conducts Saint-Saëns - Symphony In A Major & Symphony In F. Orchestre National De France. Angel 1975
Steve - I agree, that Natalie is very nice. We caught her live on that tour in San Francisco....a lovely eve.

My plan for Too Long in the Wasteland is drizzle some Basil Hayden in the cover for added “ soul “..... certainly an emotional connection to that disc....reminds me of David and David - Boomtown....
Evgeni Svetlanov conducts Alexander Borodin - In The Steppes Of Central Asia, Symphony #2, & Polovtsky March From "Prince Igor". U.S.S.R. Symphony Orchestra. Melodiya/Angel 1968.

Wow, great SQ on this.
Well I started with Mix then Dream Theater next up. Foo Fighters finished with Framing Hanley. That's it for tonight
Sir Adrian Boult conducts Vaughan Williams - Concerto In C Major For Two Pianofortes And Orchestra & Symphony No. 8 In D Minor. The London Philharmonic Orchestra, Vronsky And Babin piano. Angel repress 1969.
