Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
That’s so funny Jame, Inwas head down in liner notes for Gabriel- Us also.... two ah ha: Eno credited as “ extra brainstorming “ and the Sonics are in my mind anyway impressive- Linn Numerik system credited to original master ( the pro machine, I have never seen one )

fun
@slaw thanks brother, I have been blessed and my gifts always seem to return as flowers in a great Karmic wheel - without expectation

you are on the list !!!
@noromance ,

No problem. My copy is basic black.

FWIW, Fremer posted  while back that this wasn't an issue now.

I haven't found it to be one either.
In honor and memory of John Prine.... I freshly cleaned his S/T lp.

So sad that he survived cancer, twice, yet this corona virus took him out.

He will be missed and always loved.
"Pretty Good"....wow, how does this sort of lyric come from a then, (new to us) artist and decades later, and have just as much significance?
@slaw I am missing him also... Rip Mr. Prine. His lovely wife mentioned some charity to consider contributions to in a Rolling Stone article on his death
I do have a Quad 303 amp if someone is out of music.... surplus to a little project I had running
Actually seriously I don't, what's up with that!

Got TWO Steve Perry solo albums... lol.

But all my Journey is on CD
Well rewind....
Discogs tells me I have Raised on Radio on vinyl, but I don't see it on the shelf.
Interesting......
🤔🤔
You have a (WPP) white person problem when a device/app tells you what you should know.
@slaw i caught them for $1.05 in Cleveland just before they hit the big time!!!! Up and comers sponsored by M-105 AOR FM station... fun
I saw them, I guess 20 years ago?> I was gifted the tickets. Upon listening at the show, there was a portion that introduced the players.... when Steve Ajerrie was introduced,I was dumbfounded. Up until then, I thought it was Steve Perry.
M-105 FM on the dial so the shows were $1.05
marketing genius that they were....
Ah ha.
I probably would never have worked that one out!
Thanks for the enlightenment!
Now I can sleep tonight.
Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen / Sam Jones ‎- Double Bass (Inner City 1977)‎

That’s a lot of bass. Little plummier than I’d like on some numbers. Sounds like they mixed the two double basses in at a tad too high a level. Guitar is perfect. Drums a little recessed. Or it could be the ESLs. I’ll try it on the other rig later.

EDIT: I played it on the 9" arm with the Decca Gold Garrott and it sounded quite a lot better. Tight as a nut.

I love the post office.

Just had a few goodies delivered for my weekend fix.

I have great expectations for this one.

Blackfield V .
2*45rpm 180g album.

For those not familiar with Blackfield it is a Steven Wilson and Aviv Geffen collaboration.

Outstanding on Qobuz so hoping the 45rpm records will have the same SQ.
I love the USPO too. Best thing we do .
But , I read it will be broke in June and has GOP has  long wanted to put into private hands ,................................
German Post was also excellent when I lived there, It went private and
lucky if you get a Christmas card by March .
Your going to have to spill the beans sooner or later on this whole interconnects and accident fubar.

Read the same this morning Schubert.
Even though it is unconstitutional to do so and possibly not even legal I doubt that will stop them

Forget mail at 50cents and media mail at $2.80.
All will be gone.
Probably $10 minimum for a 2 day service... that will take 4 instead.
@schubert,

"best thing we do"

If you call staying in debt, "best thing we do".
EDIT: I played it on the 9" arm with the Decca Gold Garrott and it sounded quite a lot better. Tight as a nut.
Went back to 12" arm with SuperGold. Raised arm 2mm. Revelation! It never gets old. Really enjoying this Double Bass.
Steeleye Span ‎– The Steeleye Span Story Original Masters (Chrysalis 1977)

Love this English folk. Nice clear recording. Musically excellent. Cheap on Discogs. Buy this.

@bdp24 et al there is a lovely tribute to John Prine on Rolling Stone by Iris Dement
Both Journey lps I played sound Killer!. And to boot, they are re-issues.
Uber,

If I felt confident enough in decipherring your post, then and only then, could I answer.
