Joanne Shaw Taylor "The Blues Album"

2021/Keeping The Blues Alive Records

Some of her albums have become available on vinyl in the last few years. This is her latest. Should be great.

first Little Village cover I've heard.

Just finished side one of Barn. I'm loving it! I guess the title is a hint to the era of Neil & Crazy Horse which is present here. SQ is great!

Rolling Stones - England's Newest Hitmakers

1964 London Records Mono

Clean full mono sound. Wonderful.

@dayglow ,

I have Wish You We're Hear & The Stranger & Leftoverture but haven't listened in too long.

@big_greg  Please let me know the SQ of your purchases. I'm looking for 'Toys In The Attic" "Tapestry" "Blow By Blow" "Cat Scratch Fever" and "Infinity". Not sure if Cheap Trick "Live At Budokan" was part of the series. I know Pink Floyd "Wish" and "Wall" would be difficult to find for <$100.

Watching the Masters to

Beethoven - Symphony No. 3 in E Flat Major, Op 55 “Eroica” (Columbia Symphony Orchestra - Bruno Walter)

1959/2002 Columbia Masterworks 200 gram Remaster

The Sundays - Reading, Writing And Arithmetic. Geffen/UMG Reissue 2018, originally 1990

Wussy -- "Left for Dead"

The Band -- S/T

Billie Holiday -- Complete Verve Box Set (LP 5)

Lydia Loveless -- "Real"

@dayglow I have Chicago's greatest hits and ELO's greatest hits and maybe a couple of others.  I find them to be very quiet and detailed.  They certainly don't sound "bright".  I like them.

+1 @big_greg The claimed problem with the earlier released CBS Half-Speed’s is the treble is over accentuated. Not sure if I believe this since I only have 5 or 6 CBS Half/Speed albums. IMO they offer Audiophile SQ for a fair used price my Grofe/Grand Canyon and Silk Degrees have excellent SQ. I’m curious what your opinion is regarding this series.

E.L.O. - Discovery.  This one is a CBS Master Sound Half-Speed mastered copy.  It sounds good in comparison to the 1979 Jet Records copy I listened to yesterday.  A little more detailed and "airy".

The Sibelius Academy Quartet : Sibelius - String Quartets A Minor And B Flat Major. Finlandia Records 1985, European release

Hey Steve,

The arm is a keeper. Lately I've been running an old Empire 2000Z (with NOS stylus) & the combination absolutely amazes.
