@philjolet -- The Star Spangled Banner is one of my favorite tunes. Rousing and filled with heart. It truly gets a bad rap. It just really helps if it is played straight-up and briskly, without dramatic pauses at every phrase. It's one of my go-to tunes when I pick up my fiddle.
I'm having a tough time choosing between Harry Belafonte Danny Boy and George Thorogood and the Destroyers I Drink Alone.
Desperado & Reprise - Eagles
Gimme Back My Bullets - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Amazing Grace - John Newton
The Road Goes on Forever - Joe Ely
(and the Party Never ends)
He’s Alive - Don Francisco

Interesting life when you grow up with OLD people. My step pappy was born that yr as well. He was a different breed and left quite a mark on me as well.
"I shouted out who killed the Kennedys, when afterall, it was you and me"

You divil you.

For me it’s “Who knows where the time goes” Sandy Denny
Amazing Grace. When my grandmother sang it.. Still hear it to this day. Playing the piano and singing in Moody Texas Local Baptist Church
1966 (close).

Her last words to me "It's not what you know, It's who you know" Scotty
She is waiting for me right now.. God bless her!
She was born in 1889 to 1988 99 yeas old. Never wavered!!
