What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report

I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.

This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".

George Harrison - Brainwashed

Eric Clapton - Eric Clapton (Deluxe Edition)

The Verve - A Storm In Heaven

Death And Vanilla - To Where the Wild Things Are

I watched a 4 part Paul Simon documentary last week (part 4 is good) dusting off my collection. First up, Hearts and Bones, much better than the critics said. Next up Graceland

Various Artists - Children of Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the Second Psychedelic Era - 1976-1995

Just scored this out of print 4 disc boxed set on EBay and it should keep me busy the next several days. 😀

Lately I am in a special mood for some:

- Bud Powell

- Charles Mingus

- Roland Kirk

- Charlie Haden

so I revisiting all the many CDs I have from those great musicians.

Right now: Roland Kirk - Rashaan Rashaan (1970 Atlantic)

The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Their Satanic Majesties' Second Request, Take It from the Man!

Tonight I did a 30 year old Mapleshade Jazz CD that the artist escapes me right now (I think I probably only listened to it one time before when I got it 30 years ago) and the MFSL SACD Sprinsteen The Wild The Innocent And The E Street Shuffle that I just got.

That MFSL SACD of The Wild The Innocent And The E Street Shuffle put me in the mood for more Bruce.  I think that tonight  I am going to put on the redbook Sony SBM version of Born To Run and maybe the redbook Ghost Of Tom Joad.

. . . changed my mind and did Born To Run, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, and The Ghost Of Tom Joad.

Joe Satriani - Crystal Planet

Track 8 here...

Ceremony

The drummer's earning his pay on this one.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Aufheben

Allah Las - Calico Review

Spinning more Neo-Psychedelia…

+1 Crystal Planet  "House Full Of Bullets" is excellent with Stuart Hamm on bass.

I’m going on a road trip to listen to new to me speakers, so I’m listening to a little bit of everything.  From Pink Floyd to the soundtrack from Star Wars, Rouge  One and making a playlist. I’ve got until Friday morning to get it finished.

Any recommendations?

and death’s a lie

Love is your only alibi"

@curiousjim A tough ask to recommend just a few.  Wander through the contributions here.  You will probably find a couple of things;  e.g.,

Glenn Hughes - The Way It Is

Joe Satriani - Crystal Planet

John Hiatt - The Tiki Bar is Open

Not saying these are audiophile approved but some great music anyway.

@ghosthouse

The Sonus Farber rep came down with Covid, so we pushed it off for a couple of weeks. I’m interested in the Amati G5 and they want me to but they want me to buy Lilium.
