What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report

I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.

This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".

Chip Davis: Yellowstone classical which he wrote (2012) after seeing Yellowstone after fires in 1988

Jerry Lee Lewis The Essential Sun Recordings Ive had this 2 CD set for many years but never got around to opening it up. This month's TAS has an article about JLL so I finally broke the seal

Meeting By The River Ry Cooder

Garth Brooks Anthology 4 disc set- AMAZING RECORDING

Thanks, I also have the JVC XRCD but I played the original red book.
Any idea how the Warner Music compares?

Eagles Hell Freezes Over Live

Mark Knoffler and EmmyLou Harris All the Roadrunning

I watched a YTV of Elvis P singing Polk Salad Annie; LIVE and rushed to Barnes & Noble to see if it was on any of the EP CDs in stock. I found it on That's the way it Is  a 2 disc 2 set.  Sadly D2 which is where PSA is, is more like outtakes, instead of complete songs. I hope I can return it. Back to Amazon

Mac McAnnally No Problem Here

I hadn't played this in at least a year. Amazing natural life like sound

mofi SACD Carly Simon. I listened to it a couple times before moving my speakers 4 ft farther apart and was not impressed. Last night I decided to try it again, and was blown away

First I used Stereophile disc to clean the system, then MFSL SACD Dire Straights Love Over Gold

I've listened to Amused to Death for decades (red book and SACD) and on some amazing systems of friends. In the past couple months I replaced my Emerald Physics KCIIs (with upgrades) with EP 3.4s to which I replaced the crap jumper wires with WireWorld OCC. Amazing as the 3.4s are, my room is ~ 35 x ~ 20 x 12. Front wall is 90% glass; rear wall is 3 sided glass enclosure, plus open up/down stairwell. Even with my EVS dual mono1200, I wasn't achieving the bass to play A2D again. Now, I have 2 old SVS powered subs (Ultra and Plus) sitting in a corner. I decided to plug them back in a couple days ago in preparation to play A2D (SACD), which I did last night. The sound was among the best Ive ever heard it. I was hearing much more 411 than I recollect ever hearing

All SACDs

Bob Dylan Blood on the Tracks

Carly Simon Hotcakes

Norah Jones Come Away With Me

Playing through my newish Audiolab CDT 6000

Faith George Michael

Till the Sun Turns Black Ray LaMontagne

A week or so ago, I applied a sample of a graphene based contact enhancer from Hi Fidelity in Texas, who apparently is no longer selling it. I applied it to my XLRs and coax cable to a much improved result, but it wasn't enough to do ther est of my system. I read a thread about a similar product from Mad Scientist: Graphene Contact Enhancer, which I bought. The instructions say there will be an immediate result, but better after 24-48 hours. I treated all my speaker cabling with it, so ill be replaying some of my post CDs as a comparison over the weekend. Just 24 hours in and the improvement is quite noticeable, especially for a mere $75, which should treat quite a few systems. I will also treat all my PCs

Hell Freezes Over (live recording) is a good place to start. WELL... the music is considerably more cohesive, and clearer. Joe Walsh's guitar intro on Hotel California practically jumps out of the mix now

Wilson Philips Greatest Hits

As I methodically replaced cables in my system with Ali-E Nordost knock-offs, and treat my connections with Mad Scientist Audio's Graphene Contact Enhancer Wilson Philips Greatest Hits disc sounds better and better. 3 days ago it occurred to me that I did not treat the fuse in my Voyager GaN amp, so I did. It took a couple days to settle in, but yes, another jump in sound

Yesterday, I applied PPT a graphene based contact enhancer then played

Elvis P CD That’s the Way It Goes dinner show disc

Sinatra The Capitol Years

The Dixie Chicks DCX

Today Ill be listening to my 2 annual Easter classics

*Faust

*Jesus Christ Superstar

PPT works amazingly well, and is said to get better over time. Alas, no longer available, but Furutech Nano could be an excellent alternative
