As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares. We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media. I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations. I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.
uber, I'm listening on my computer system and have had it at a pretty moderate volume. I just put on the headphones and gave it a little more volume and to my ears it sounds like a very good live recording. It's "Hi-Fi" on Tidal, not MQA.
A Nod is as Good as a Wink to a Blind Horse .... Faces Quboz hires Think a lot of people have forgotten just how good a rock n roll band these guys were in the day.
Just as an fyi, The Quireboys are very much in the same style as early Faces and did a darn good cover of Stay With Me and were a fantastic high energy live show back in early 90,s if my memory serves me right. Worth checking out some Quireboys material if you like Faces.
If not familiar with these guys they are one heck of a hard rocking Irish rock band and have opened and toured with some of the biggest names out there!
@uberwaltz - I think the thread has done pretty well. Yes, there are times when you are the only poster, but then others join back in. I came here this evening to post what I'm streaming. I try to listen to vinyl most of the time, but I don't have deep enough pockets to buy all of the vinyl I want. So streaming, at $10 a month for Spotify Premium, gets me access to almost anything I want to sample, or play, when I don't own the vinyl.
BTW, I was on vacation for the last week, skiing in Colorado. I downloaded multiple caches from Radio Paradise and streamed them on the plane to/from Cincinnati to Denver. As always, found a few gems that I added to my playlist.
So tonight, streaming Chris Hillman - "Bidin' my Time" via Spotify Premium.
Keep up the good fight. There's room for multiple music threads.
Thanks Reubent and my post was certainly not aimed at anybody or a criticism of posters in general at all.
Just more a realistic view that there just may be too many threads around for the number of posters available and that maybe we are just lessening the point of said threads as I see new music threads still springing up, which I am not sure the true relevance of any of them....lol.
I love to spin vinyl too but sometimes in the evening especially later on when I may be prone to falling asleep I usually go for streaming or a CD.
