Wanna take it to the next level? Buy MORE speakers!

Did your two speakers take it to the next level? No, they never have and they never will, my friends.

Buy more speakers.

You will be happy because you will be placed in a cocoon of sonic nirvana, taken to the next level.

Sales guy will be happy because he will sell more speakers.

Everyone will be happy, it’s a win-win.

Just get a wall of Braun L46 Speakers

This is about the technology of how a soundfield should be and how things appear in it. It cannot be done with 2 speakers even if you employ some gimmick like Bacch.

Watch this interview by prog rocker Steven Wilson educating Darko.

After that, you hit a show like MWave in Kansas City one year. Listen to a multichannel rig (more than 2 speakers) set up by Perlisten, Grimani, etc. Then, you go and sit in Axpona and listen to all the pairs of 2 speakers blaring away disappointingly.

Thereafter, you may truly conclude that you need more than 2 speakers.

The stupid premise of the original post should be enough to suck it into that black hole of darkness.....

Yea. “Questionable” conversations get the boot. Yet the artwork in the posted photo remains…..

Peter Walker of Quad fame preferred stacks and arrays of his original Quads. He also like to put two Quads at right angles to each other - and I like that solution the best. I use it for two pairs of modern ones.

@audioman58  is also correct. Some of the parts in factory Quads are just plain poor. Improving them considerably improves the sound. IMO.

I saw Korean made speakers  Orchestral  4 speakers hanging and one sub. Total speakers 8 and 2 sub . I like the sound. But you need space. They are at axpona this couple of years now.

I have over 20 years in modding the weak point in most loudspeakers ,many mfg use average parts at best , I almost alway upgrade my own the same values inside

just far bette quality , go to humble homemade hifi capacitor test ,

Jantzen foil wax paper inductors path audio resistors , or Mundorf ultra resistors .

connectors many use cheap gold over brass,WBT Copper far better conductor is preferred ,

the Xover it’s the brain 🧠 or ♥️ of your speaker just look up the above Tony Gee is the man and has helped me ,. I just felt it needed to be said . And can give you over a 10% improvement

wrong you only change speakers when everything is maximized and  then you can evaluate weather the speakers can and should by improved

changing a loudspeaker produces the largest gross change however the electronics and sources are just as important in crafting a great sounding system
