A very great and iconic career that originated from the most humble of beginnings .  An authentic American success story if there ever was one. R.I.P.

she changed R&B and Rock and Roll forever.

What a great loss to the music industry and music in general. Loved her in all her different stages but those early years with Ike were so very special to my ears and what I love about music to this day. She will be missed. Enjoy the music

She certainly had an interesting life.

Ike also was a terrible person, they say, those years must have been tragic for her

A legend while she was alive. Very, very sad.

No other cover of Proud Mary can top Her and Ike’s version. Hard to imagine that she has come to her end. R.I.P.
