Roon question -- Android tablet working as Roon Remote can't find Roon Core each morning

Hello I am hoping to get the help of experienced Roon users here.  I am trying Roon and am enjoying it but there is this repeating problem I am running into with the remote tablet losing connection to the Nucleus/core machine each morning.

I have a Roon Nucleus as my Core machine. The Nucleus and an Innuos Zen Mini working as the streamer/DAC are connected via LAN through a local network switch (a Trendnet unmanaged 4 port switch sitting next to the Nucleus and Zen Mini). I have an Eero wifi pod set running the wifi signal through the house, and an Eero pod brings the LAN jack into my listening room from the Comcast cable modem and router in another part of the house (I don’t have Ethernet hardwired into my listening space, it is an older house).

My Samsung Note Android tablet serves as the remote controller and of course it is connected via wifi served up by the Eero pods and the Comcast router.

Everything seems to work well, all stays connected when listening to music each day. Only problem is many mornings (say 3-4 mornings a week), when I try to listen to music in the am, the Android tablet/Roon remote controller says ’there is a problem, can’t find Roon Core’.

What I then have had to do is power down (unplug) and then restart the main Comcast cable modem/router, and then, when it re-establishes its internet signal from the cable feed, all works again - the tablet sees the Core and shows Roon.

I sometimes leave music playing softly overnight, the music still plays on the system, so the Core and Innuos streamer never seems to lose the internet connection, just seems that the Remote tablet does, it gets disconnected from the Core/Nucleus.

Can someone explain to me what is happening here, and what I can do to fix it?

I am not a wifi or networking expert (don’t really understand IP addresses and so on, I have read some can be fixed but some are assigned by the router for connected equipment and can change on its own) so I can use some help.

Check to make sure your android device is on the same wifi as the Roon core. If it isn’t, it will display that message.

If Roon has a properties page , make sure the App is set to always be on in the background.      It helped with my Bluesound not always being found by my Tab

My Nucleus is connected via the Eero pod's LAN jack, whereas the tablet is on wifi.  Of course the Eeros pods are shooting wifi everywhere.

How do I check if my Andriod tablet is on the Eero's wifi?  All the Eero's take on the same wifi network name as the base wifi router they are connected to and broadcasting to all locations in the house.

Similar to my Roon setup. Except I named the eero wifi differently from the router wifi. If you go to eero app you will see the devices connected to it. If your android device isn’t one of the devices on the list, it’s sitting on ths router wifi.

Easiest thing to do is to assign the eero wifi its own network name so you can tell whether the device is on it or not

Try a wifi analyzer. They are free and available for mobile and laptop/PCs

How about other devices connecting to the core?  like computers or phones?  same issue?  This as an attempt to isolate the tablet.

In the interim put the roon ap on your phone while you troubleshoot this.  My phone is quicker to bring up the core and make changes than my laptop.  Looks like roon has put a lot of effort into the phone ap.  i've used both android and iphone and both are very smooth.

I will say that I have a samsung table behide my chair.  Don't use it often becasue I always grab the laptop...but it always finds the core.
