Based on a discussion with another forum member, I've been reading up on this Comback Corporation brand. The reviews I've found have been pretty positive, but I've also learned over the years to take all reviews with a grain of salt. So the purpose of this thread is for users to share their input on 聖HIJIRI cables. When you share, if you'd discuss what model of HIJIRI you demoed and what brands/models they were compared to, that'd be very helpful.
A little background: a few years ago I was reading the Audio Envy threads and decided to give them a try as the seemed to compete with much higher-priced cable. So I decided to give AE a try. I found both the $179 P2 and the $279 M3 to easily best an Isotek power cord at $1k. So that got me thinking even more about value products. I was about to give Zavfino a try and then was given another recommendation to give HIJIRI a try. So this is how I got here. I'll be very interested to hear all user comments on HIJIRI and this should be a good repository for the brand.
Whew, just made it through reading this thread. After reviewing additional Hijiri Millions reviews, the IC and SC seems to offer the best sonic price/performance sonically competing with the very best. The Takumi PC seems to be beyond just sounding better, seems transformative.
I’ll gradually move to Hijiri Millions ICs and SC. The Takumi PCs are a bit of a budget stretch so I’ll try one and see where to go from there.
Thanks all for sharing. Great to know end game cabling
I have HIJIRI “Million” XLR between my preamplifier and amplifier: I can say: what is the CD crazy cable? I have more bass, more timing, better voice..
Preamplifier is connected with the Hijiri Takumi.
Amplifier is connected with Furutech Nanoflux NCF.
I can just say I have more 3D with Cardas Cygnus, but more life with the Hijiri Millions.
All sources are connected with Furutech lineflux XLR or RCA.
I can confirm that you can not judge just a cable but the system.
I say that because I have changed one Nagomi by a Vondita DIY ...and medium and treble are beautiful, but the bass is not like the Nagomi.
I recommend starting with a Power Cord if you are going to upgrade entire cable loom. And if you aiming at “Million” series IC and Speaker Cables down the road then I would start off with 聖Hijiri SM2R-L "SOUND MATTER" Power Cord not Nagomi. The SM2R-L performance is closer to “Takumi” Maestro PC and offers amazing synergy with “Million” IC and Speaker cables. Nagomi PC is good but SM2R-L PC is simply on another level.
If I were to start over and on a budget, I would buy one “Takumi” PC for Integrated or Amp and SM2R-L PC for rest of the components.
Just took the leap bought the million SLC speaker cable and Kiwami interconnect with Nagomi PC can anyone let me know the break/burn in time for the same.
HIJIRI cables are very addictive…truly an end game upgrade for me. Another brand I highly recommend is Sternklang. I am using one of their XLR’s…amazing synergy with HIJIRI’s.
My friend loaned for me aHCI-R10 and Nagomi pc. I really like Nagomi and will be buying it for my dac. I also like the smoothness and musical flow that hijiri interconnect has.
One question though:
-Has anyone compared interconnects againt each other?
I have compared the two Hijiri ICs. The HCI is a nice sounding cable as I also have the HCI 10 speaker cables and enjoy them. However, the Million is just more of everything great about the HCI. Literally more of everything good from top to bottom. Improved density and realism to boot!
I also like the Tchernov Ultimate Slims ICs and ended up purchasing them for my system. Just a slightly better choice for my particular system and preferences. Honestly, all three are great and it may come down to your budget.
I have moved 4 times in the past year and have had to make changes in my system. Based on this, and my crazy life experience over the past year and a half, I have started listing some Hijiri and Tchernov cables for sale. Just one IC and perhaps two Nagomi power cords.
We are settled now and hope to be more active here on Audiogon. Miss reading and posting here a little 🤓
Glad you are back. Will be interesting to hear what wire you end up with. And would be interested in hearing about your move(s) as well. Hope you get your system settled, dialed in, and singing pronto!
I'm just trying to play catch up on this long thread, but was wondering if this is the same Combak that is/was associated with Reimyo? I remember their CDP-777 being in the discussion for Best in the World maybe 20 years ago. I wanted one badly back then but couldn't justify almost $20k in early 2000's dollars.
@lakThank you, I guess if I clicked to their website I would have learned that as well. Interesting they are still around. Focus maybe shifted a little but I think even back then they were focused on small details like vibration control and signal purity in their wiring.
I'm currently testing Hijiri cables. I've reset the system and am choosing all new cables.
I already know that I'll stick with the Hijiri Million Kiwami RCA interconnect between the Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC and the SE ANK Kit1 300b. What this Kwami brings is amazing.
The Sound Matter connected to the amplifier and the Nogami to the DAC also play beautifully. The question is, would two SM2R-Ls playing together bring benefits?
The Hijiri H-SLC Million connected to speakers brings a huge amount of emotion and resolution, especially in jazz, small bands and vocals.
But here's a question for you as long-time users of Kiuchi-san cables: my speakers are Zingali Overture 2 bi-wired. What jumpers do you recommend for Hijiri cables?
I own a full loom of HIJIRI Million Series cables. IME, SM2R-L would be an amazing upgrade over Nagomi in your system. Mola Mola is an excellent DAC and the SM will do wonders there. A pair of SM gets you very close to "TAKUMI" Maestro Power Cord.
For Jumpers, request your distributor to special order jumpers from Combak. If that’s not possible, then pick a high quality jumpers made from OCC wire.
thank you for your answer... with each day of listening I am getting closer to the thought that Hijiri will also become my full loom.
And here is a link to a completely new review:

unfortunately in Polish but Safari copes well with the translation.
I have a Takumi pc on my Mola Mola Tambaqui and the synergy is great! The dac sounds smoother, more open, and more musical.
If you can’t swing for theTakumi get The SML it sounds pretty close.
I have three Takumi’s and love them. They are very detailed and open, but manage to be beautifully fleshed out. No etched hi-fi sound at all, just pure music!
It’s great to hear how much you’re enjoying your system! Thoughtfully chosen components and PC’s like the TWL Obsession and Takumi can truly contribute to the listening experience. I am currently breaking-in my phono with stock cord. Once it’s fully broken-in, I will swap out stock pc with SM2R-L.
It’s always inspiring to see someone who is so engaged with their music and setup, enjoy!
Thank you @snopro
that's what I was afraid of, that more SM would be needed... the whole Hijiri loom is a very big expense now, so unfortunately Takumi will have to wait to hear it.
And has anyone compared the Hijiri Million speaker cable to the higher Acoustic Zen cables /Double Barrel or Absolute/? I listened to their Hologram, although in a single run, but it also caught the synergy with my system very nicely.
I’ve just got my first Hijiri Takumi power cable and am completely sucked into the music. Unfortunately it took up a large chunk of my budget towards recabling my system so I don’t think another Takumi is on the cards. However, i’ve turned my attention to trying to acquire some Hijiri Nagomi to test in my setup. Wondering if that will tip the setup into too much warmth
