Veritas Cables a new brand that I found I was always under the impression shorter was better. A few years back I did some comparisons with different cables where I had access to the same models in a few lengths. Turns out I was wrong, the sound wasn't different at all in my system. I ...
A relatively affordable silver digital coaxial cable That cables looks nice, listed as discontinued though. Any idea if anyone else sells them?
Veritas Cables a new brand that I found Thank you @tksteingraber for the summary. I agree completely when you say full all encompassing sound. Great way of putting it. Based on your commentary I might go for a few of the Mirus cables to round out some connections. I doubt even the best ...
Veritas Cables a new brand that I found @nwres I love the original Connexa and recently wanted to order another for a different room. Only to find out they replaced it with the mk2. I ordered that and it just arrived last week. Need to burn it in to really be sure, but so far it seems t...
What would you do? Agree with @jtucker it really isn't that hard. If even an old inexperienced guy like me can do it, so can you. And if you mess up then you are back to square one no harm really done anyway.
which power cable and USB cable for my Innous Zenith Mk3? I have a Zenith mk3 and I agree the build is not what I’d like. It looks nice enough from a distance though. And the sound is so good that I don’t mind the build so much. A few months ago I started experimenting with digital to digital converters...
Advice on a good Digital Coax Cable to run between my Transport and DAC? The Wyred Remedy is a great little device that can improve the sound of some transport DAC combos. I would think your combo is good enough to sound better without it though. As others have said, AES/EBU is going to be your best bet rather than RCA...
Veritas Cables a new brand that I found @gakman Off topic but that’s a great system you have there! I used the L&R Utopia BE for years when they first came out, wonderful beasts they are. Do you run them with a sub at all? I never felt I needed one in my room. Sorry totally not ...
Best RCA Digicable Another vote for Veritas Cables from a happy user. I have their Nexum A which is the AES/EBU model, for $300 it has really blown me away. They have another Nexum model with the RCA connector for that same price.
SDV 3100 HV owners When you say "a bit polite and lacking..." how much are we talking about? Is it a small enough thing where maybe tweaks like cable changes could help bring it where you want to be? Or large enough where the Luxman must go?
Atoll MS120 Streamer Looks like a great little streamer. I have heard their upscale ST300 Signature compared with a Lumin T3 and that Hifi Rose model with the giant display. I felt the Atoll was noticeably superior in sound quality. Smart idea to pick up a cheap tab...
Best RCA Digicable I've been really happy with a bunch of Veritas Cables products I've picked up recently. They recently announced the addition of RCA, BNC, and AES digital cables to their lineup. I have not heard the RCA yet but imagine it is as good as the rest of...
Thoughts on using the DAC in my oppo 205 with a CD Transport. Double check that you are using the stereo outputs (the part with XLR and RCA right next to each other) instead of the multi-channel RCA outputs on the other side of the machine. I made that mistake once and the multi-channel outs don't sound as g...
Modwright KWI200 vs Kinki Studio EX-M1+ Newer is not always better. I would go for the ModWright if it was me. Their gear is fantastic and punches way above its weight for value. I'm sure the Kinki is a nice component too but I'd still go with ModWright. Think of it this way. You can ...
Clone DarTZeel amps? Agree with the above. I had a friend who swore up and down that the clone amps and preamps he owned were "just as good as the original". He had actually convinced himself they likely came from the same factory, a claim which doesn't stand up to th... |
