Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

   Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
   My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

Folks - I'm still home and will not be going to Maryland. I apologize to those I was going to meet while out that way.

Short version is, yesterday a brand new White Prius hit me on my right side hip area while this young lady was pulling out. Totally silent - I heard nothing. I fell and konked my head pretty good.

Home for 5 days at least now.

Thanks,

Mark
@corepowertech, geez Mark, take it easy and heal up.... Hope you make a full recovery....

Thanks Gents...

Saw the Doctor today and he says I'm doing real well. No travel for 5 more days - but I'm fine with that.

I was due in Maryland for Part Time Audiophile install - but Scot was cool and we are seeing each other a bit later on.

Appreciate your well wishes,

Mark
Good Morning...

I hear through the grapevine that the Greg Voth / Stereotimes review of the E=C 300 should be posted very soon.

Thank you,

Mark
Hi Kierian (kclone): I see you have your CPT 150 cable up for sale. Are you moving up to a larger one?
no, I liked the way it sounded, no issues there.  I just prefer straight cables without the box.  Have space constraints in and around my rack.
@corepowertech;
Mark, any idea when The Power-Core 300 regenerator will begin to ship out?
Good Morning...

@lak

Good question as we are very late with this product.

We decided to put our resources into getting the EQUI=CORE 1200/1800 out first. We wanted to more flesh out this part of our line.

The Power Core is basically done - just new metal to complete the final look so that it falls into line with the rest of our products.

Now that E=C 1200/1800 is about to ship - I will turn my attention to this and get it done. Perhaps 4 to 5 weeks max.

Many thanks,

Mark

BTW - we still believe that Balanced Power is the primary method for better sound - this is step one for sure.
Hi Mark

Equi-Core 1200/1800 has pricing of $1199/$1599 but doesn't show length of power cord included with the units or different lengths. Thx.
@bacardi

These units do NOT have captive cords - the have a single IEC Inlet for Power In... and 4 Hubbell (Red) Duplexes for outs...

Therefore you can use any cords with them...

For those of you that want to see a drawing of this - please e-mail me and I will send you one...

Have a question? Mark, I am currently running Macintosh MC60s with a dedicated power cord. I have a BPT 3.5 Sig plus on my front end but my amps are across the room. I will need a tech to replace the dedicated cords, no?
Just ordered a EQUI=CORE 300 . Looking forward to hearing this device. I am going to be using it as a power source for my entire system. I currently have a PS Audio Duet. Which I still like btw, but I want a blacker background. I will make sure to put a pillow on the floor so I don’t hurt myself lol.
@dentdog

Lets try to link up tomorrow. The BPT unit is a great piece of hardware...

Need a little more info on your physical layout and from there I can make a best use estimate and figure out the best way to improve your system. If the amps are real close together (physically) I have an idea - if not - I have another suggestion.

I’m up and at it by 7PM (Mountain) -

Thanks so much,

@aniwolfe

Really great meeting you today and having a chance to talk... I'm excited for you - and I'm thankful for the chance to share our tech with you.

Lets keep in touch...

Thanks again,

Mark
Hi Mark: Can an Equi=Core 300 unit be ordered with an IEC inlet instead of a captive cord? Allowing the use of any AC cord you choose.
@yoby

At this time we cannot build them this way - you are the 2nd person to ask this - so I am considering it. I know this would not happen quickly though...

And YES - on the 1200/1800 we need IEC Inlet for the power to the wall and there are a total of 8 IEC OUTLETS to drive your gear.

Best wishes,

Mark

Just wanted to let all of you know that the review in Stereotimes is now up...

I'm entirely grateful and really looking forward to a great future for Core Power Technologies... We are in no rush and just celebrating the day (each day) and our gratitude is a big part of every day...

Many thanks to all of you... this moment has a very special meaning to me - and to my family...

corepowertech
Products with power ratings always confuse me.   IE:  A Vitus 50 wpc amp draws different amount of current than Wells Audio so how do I determine the CORRECT Equi-Core Power Cable to use?   Obviously I shouldn't use Equi-Core 150 with a Vitus.

@joecasey

you are so right... I would probably take a moment and send an e-mail to the companies involved and check the draw... and then offer my 02 cents.

Thanks

Mark
@dentdog

Absolute pleasure speaking with you sir...

Working on your answer now -

Best wishes,

Mark
Greg from Stereotimes  describes what I also hear, quieter background leads to wider dynamic contrasts, bigger/deeper soundstage, effortless listening.
@corepowertech, congrats Mark on a fabulous review. I'm sure many of us hear similar qualities the reviewer did. I know I have.

I am also very anxious about your new products for sure....

regards Bacardi
Mark..no surprise to me..Greg states the obvious about your power cord.Congrats.Great review.
@bacardi

Thanks so much - new stuff is coming soon...

@calloway

@lak

Thanks guys - that means a ton to me...

Best wishes,

I am looking to upgrade from my Shunyata Venom 3s.  These power cables sound very interesting.  Unfortunately, I have space constraints behind my rack.  Can anyone comment on the physical dimensions of these cables?  How big is the central box?  How long is each cable going in and out of the box?  How flexible are the cables?  Any guidance is appreciated.
Sorry to quote my own post but I see in an ad that the length is 2.5 feet from the wall and then can vary based on your preference.  I guess my questions now are how big is the box and are the cables flexible?

The box is kind of large. I guess about 8"x8". That why the cable from the wall is long, so it can be placed out of the way. The cable length from the box can be ordered in different lengths.

Sorry, the cables are not that flexible.

Thanks for the reply.  It sounds like I would have to figure out a way to shoehorn it in there.
@sruffle

Thanks for posting your questions -

The box is 8.5 x 8.5 x 3.35 (tall)...

The cables are not really all that flexible (although better than many/most)

In many systems I have had to turn the chassis on it's side to fit well into a systems "available space"...

Do let me know if I can help further...

Thanks (and thanks @ozzy )

Best always,

Mark
I have space constraints as well and had to turn the unit on its side.   Works great!  No issues.
Thanks for the comments.  I never thought of turning it on its side.  I have to sell some gear off and then plan to try one on my DAC.
My 300 Arrived today. I am using the 300 and Matrix as a power source for my entire system.
1 hour in cleaner sound and I know for sure...because I used a test cd that I have heard 1 millions times. Rush’s Moving Pictures. I know what the cymbals sounded like before and now (Use to be a professional drummer). They had a muted congested smear to them....now they sound realistic and are placed in the soundstage more realistically. They have a better foundation.The bass was very shy at the beginning...but now its showing itself... in a good way. I do sense the noise floor drop. Overall everything sounds more realistic from top to bottom.
I wish I can fit more of these cables in my system. Too bad the 150’s aren’t in a smaller box. I would buy 2. Maybe just maybe I might be able to squeeze 1 more. Tomorrow I get my new cd transport ..I am very overwhelmed in a good. Very happy so far.
I wonder if stacking these is possible with some isolation feet?
This CPT300 at $800 sounds like what I would imagine a 4 or $5k upgrade would sound like. Just sounds better and better with each cd.
Keep in mind I was using a $250 PS Audio Duet to clean my power. This is completely different animal.
@aniwolfe

Thank you so much for the fine comments.

Please do note that the bass will get nicely delivered at 50 hours - and at 150 hours you will really know what this unit can do "in system"...

Stacking them does not pose a problem in my system -

Appreciate your feedback.

Best wishes,

Mark
@aniwolfe, glad you purchased a CPT-300. You will hear greater performance at 100+ hours. They're will be times when you turn your system on and your jaw will drop at the exceeding performance of your music. These cords are really game changing.....
@aniwolfe, when I order my second cord I will stack them with Herbie's Audio Lab Tenderfeet. I've used them on other products. They are great and will be perfect for stacking the core power techs, IMO.
I'll be ready soon Mark!
@devilboy

Lynn and I are ready for you too... :)

Just let us know.

Best wishes,

Mark

@bacardi

Thank YOU sir...

@aniwolfe

Thanks for your note - and I cannot wait to hear from you next week after a bit of break in.

Thanks all...

Dear Friends...

I am really pleased and excited to share with you folks that Core Power Technologies has won a GOLD AWARD from AV Showrooms at THE Show in Newport Beach. This is very big for us - and we feel exceptionally honored and blessed.

With great gratitude to all of you...

Quick update on my 2 CPT 150 cords. I am now over 1000 hours on the break in process of these 2 cords and to be honest they did continue to improve past the 500 hour mark.

I had been playing a bit with my previous reference power cord and the CPT cords to compare the differences. I will try and explain but it might not come out perfect. When I connected my first CPT 150 on my Lumin server, it was an unbelievable experience that I only experience about once every ten years in regard to audio; it was like being at the recording studio during a live session. The first cord broke in for about 300 hours and then I connected my second CPT 150 on my integrated. The second CPT 150  was not as immediate and in fact at first I thought my previous reference power cord sounded slightly  better. I let the new CPT 150 break in for a week on the integrated and indeed things did improve. I then swapped back to my previous reference power cord and again I thought the reference was slightly better so I let my previous reference cord stay on the system for a couple of days but during those 2 days I knew something was not right. I could not put my finger on it until I switched back to the CPT 150 and then it became clear when listening to a guitar solo; the guitar strings resonate with the CPT 150 as if you were sitting in front of the guitar player. With my previous reference, you were 10 rows back listening to the guitar and not really getting the full effect or even the emotion of the song. Sure enough around 500 hours in the 2nd CPT 150 did things my previous reference cord never did but what has really blown me away is that after 1000 hours the CPT 150 has continued to improve. In the last month I have had more compliments on my system than I have had in my life. Even my one buddy that always finds something to complain about, said and I quote "this is the best system I have ever heard" wish I could have recorded that moment. I have hit a point with my system that I am not thinking about making any changes anywhere and that tells me that these CPT cords are very special.

Cheers,
