Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

   Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
   My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

Mark..someone needs to be answering the messages sent to CPT through your website..I have sent at least 2-3 in the last 3 weeks with no answers..
@calloway

my sincerest apologies

the  site is being migrated to "the cloud" because of this and other reasons

im so sorry

just walked through the door after 9 days out

please - by all means use my email or phone

many thanks

@calloway

We have units at Doug's now for testers - but we also know from my last call with Doug that he was quite pleased and he gave me the OK to release the Production Order which I did two days ago when I returned home.

I'm trying to stay caught up - but today Walter (Emerald Physics) is having surgery and I'm watching his phones as well as he has no one to do this. It's been fun... :)

I apologize for being behind.

To answer your questions directly... small quantities in 3 weeks -

I have hired and outside builder that makes wonderful audio equipment to be our builder and fulfillment center - Lynn and I are not capable of keeping up. EQUI=CORE builds will take place in CO (still)...

More about this soon...

Best wishes to all

Mark

PS - THANK YOU SIR
Congratulations Mark on Anthony Kershaw's review of your E=Q 1800! Like most of us, he found the quietness and black background enticing, and there is no reduction in dynamics or musical energy to gain the quiet.
Yping, I looked at the Klei power cords you mentioned. Klei is using a special arrangement to enhance the power delivery of the "hot" conductor, and optimize the neutral and ground.
Balanced power does not have a neutral conductor. Instead, there are two "hot" conductors and one ground.
How that cord would work on the output of a balanced transformer is anyone's guess. May be good, but may defeat some of their design.
Now, used on the input of a 1200 or 1800 core Power unit, may give an improvement from both technologies.
The field is wide open. I've heard of one guy putting a Bybee Enhancer inside of a core Power unit, and plugging a HFC MC 0.5 into one of the outlets. He got good results.
Anyone up for trying a Synergisic Tranquility Base under the Core Power unit ?
Quote from calloway: Does anyone have a DC that can give some report on its benefit???

I had a PS Audio unit, did not like it. Also had an Isotek Sigma. Kept the sigma for about a year, then sold it after doing many comparisons and tests.
I hope Core Power is doing something different!
rilbr, The Core Power is doing AC conditioning different than almost everyone else. Bottom line is you get the benefits of blacker, quieter noise floor without the loss of dynamic excitement or musical energy. The additional benefits of improved soundstage, imaging specificity, and instrument separation are icing on the cake! Go to the CPT site, or read back in this thread for a more precise explanation of the E=Q balanced design. CPT has a generous trial policy, no risk, it's really worth giving one an audition.
klh007,
I think ribr, question is about the "Deep Core" unit.
ribr,
I haven't  heard anymore from Mark since I returned the trial unit that did not work.
ozzy
I didn't follow this startup for a while, and now opened the site and could not find this small 300W regenerator on it! What happened?
kazuist,
The E=Q 300 is shown in the first page before the pricing, which also lists the E=Q models, 50,150, 300, 1200, and 1800. They all work the same with wattage ratings separating them, the 1200 and 1800 have a different form with outlets built in.
ozzy, Mark has been at LAAS, Texas, and is helping Walter out adding even more phone time to his schedule, please let him catch a breath, I'm sure he will have more to say on DC shipments this week.
ozzy, No I'm not the spokesperson, just friends with Mark and enjoying CPT balanced power. Mark has been stretched too thin lately, and been traveling and filling in for Walter, I'm sure he and Lynn are enjoying a family Father's Day, and Monday morning he'll have time to be back posting updates on DC and the power regenerator.
@klh007

still can't find. It names POWER=CORE 300 and was on pre-order for about 1000 bucks, but now it's gone. Where?
Just curious to see if any e=c 1200/1800 owners are using a e=c 300/150/50 cable from the wall to their units. Any added benefit?
@klh007

Thanks Kemp - and thanks as well for your replies here.

You were/are correct - I've been filling in for Wally at Underwood - even answering his sales/call line. It's been a crazy 5 days. Wally's surgery went well but he was still not out of the hospital as of this writing.

The Deep Core is now officially ready to re-send the test units. Doug published a VERY NICE Power Point that show's the results of this units capabilities in a very un-ambiguous way :) I can release that Power Point once lak and ozzy receive their units. We had severe shipping damage on with both of these.

@kazuist

The Re-Generator Product (called Power Core) will see it's way to market. The Engineer that lead the way on this (John Petrucelli) passed away several months back. Our New Jersey-based OE Builder has picked up the prototypes and we are going to move forward. In order to meet CE - we will de-rate to 200 watts.

Many of you have spoken to me about Re-Generation vs Balanced and again I say the same thing here --- Balanced in THE FOUNDATIONAL ELEMENT of a good system. Re-Gen are wonderful for low power needs - but once you get over 500 watts we do believe this is the way to better or best sound. Balanced Power ROCKS :)

@calloway

My pleasure and thank YOU...

@aniwolfe

Mark had a low salt Hot Dog and a Beef Patty... No buns - no sugar (drat)... :)

Thanks all...

Please note that I am also still answering Underwoodwally's phones right now... I may be tardy with replies...

Thanks
@t_ramey, I do not use my 300 to power my 1800.
I might be wrong and if I am I want someone to correct my next statement.
It seems to me that the 300 power cord (including the 50 and 150) would limit the full potential of the 1200 / 1800.
I find that a good heavy duty power cord works well, something made for a high current amp or power conditioner.
@lak  -thanks for the reply.

Where do you use the 300? I wonder if the same would apply if a 300/150/50 was used after the 1800? I was skimming through the thread here to see if anybody uses the equi=core cables in conjunction with a 1200/1800 but haven't seen such a case. I was just curious if anybody has tried but what you say about it being a limitation makes sense.
@corepowertech

But on what principle Power Core works? Is it just a balanced transformer with added stabilizer (as Torus), or a stabilizer with waveform modulation amplifier (as current PS Audio's), or true AC-DC-AC re-generator, like old PS Audio's?
I agree a excellent power cord  I have one for the  Core 1800 which just opens up another realm with my whole sudio system  I just bought 2 more power cords for amp pre amp. ALL core products highly recommended.
@t_ramey,  When I received my 1800, I took the 300 out of my two channel system and moved it to a different room where I use the 300 with a power strip and plug my flat screen TV and Oppo BDP-105 into it.

I did not find an advantage when I tried the 300 out of the 1800 to a component.
Balanced power works for me. When the funds become available I will be purchasing the 1800 for my amplifiers. I have a BPT 3.5 Sig + on my front end and I agree, balanced power should be considered the foundation  of a music system. The whole theory of common mode noise reduction is a scientifically proven advantage which is hard to overlook. Mark is doing the community a great service bringing this to the hobby at a reasonable price.

Why did it takex15-20 minutes? I know why. It takes that long to convince yourself there is a difference.

Glad to see your contributions to this post are in line with your past contributions to other posts.....You..like most negative members...haven't tried any of the products you put down....Do you own a CPT product..?..Yea..That's what i thought....
 $850 for a power cord? This is where I get off the bus and stop drinking the Coolade! Bye bye.

Core Power Technologies  offers Wonderful power cords for only $100
When you buy a 1200 or 1800 or $125 on their own .
The connectors are from Japanese company Ayoide solid polished Copper
Shielded  AWG-12 6ft high purity Copper they best anything cables myself and friends had under 400. Wiped the floor with the Shunyata venom 3.the power conditioner comes with same 6ft cable. EXCEPTIONAL cable .why spend more
These connectors rock. Let me let you in a a tip.
Buy 99% Isopropyl alcohol dome good foam applicators - good ones caig type
Clean all surfaces power cords IEC- inputs Everything. Then buy the Best
,longest lasting signal enhancer on the market called Stabilant,in its PUREST form
Or to use between contacts or inside outlets slots Stabilsnt22 means cut 4-1
With Alcohol. If left in place it will last for several years. Clear ,not messy and comes with several small brushes, not cheap $50-100 depending on size bottle.
The above comment 800 to much then go toUnderwood wally and see about buying a whole system unit 1200 or 1800 retail also watt size  and for sure get a few hundred off $$.
Then it becomes a great deal. No coolaid !!

Had burned in my 1200 for 300+ hours, and the listening experience is keep improving.  The initial improvement is the much quieter and darker background, with the veil removed!  I am having the same postivive experience with the previous posts about the 300-1800 models.  The most significant change for the post-300 hours is the expansion of soundstage, especially the width of the soundstage which translated into the separation of the vocals and instrument.  Another striking difference is the rebirth of the microdynamics that I missed a lot before.  The decay of notes seems keep hanging around the listening space. Every attack of strings really withhold my emotions! It brings out my vivid imagination when the air runs through the sax and clarinets.  Generally, I am much more engaging and enjoying the music.
I pair up the 1200 with the Furman conditioner, with the 1200 placed between the Furman conditioner and the source (CDP and preamp) which gives a synergistic effect. However, if I place the Furman between the 1200 and the source, it gives no satisfactory synergy.
I tried Furutech conditioner and Purepower regenerator.  Both of them need to be let go for now.  I am looking forward to see the synergy of mating the Deep Core (which may replace my Furman) with the 1200.

Thanks Mark for your product and your kind support!
I own the 1800 model it is only 40lbs  it has a very substantial 1800 watt transformer  and wired out of phase neutral and ground all noise through ground.
I  tried several $6_1000 models  they helped some but restricted dynamics under
Dynamic swings .The Core 1800 just sailed through and instruments had noticeably more dimension.
Who has used  Cores power cords  ,the type that comes with the Big units like 1800. Aww 10 gauge Copper with Copper solid Copper end connectors ?
Mark sells them straight up for $120 , or less when you buy a 1500,1800.
Pretty good improvement  vs Pangea 9 for similar monies the End male- IEC-plugs
For sure contributed to the sound. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND  the bedt signal enhancer on the market  Stabilant22, far better then Tweak which was a weak variant. First clean All contacts both sides with 99% Isopropyl alcohol.

Good Opportunity

Just wanted to take a moment and thank many of you for the extra dose of patience you have shown us during our move. THANK YOU!

We moved our home over the course of the last 10 days – all the while doing the same for Emerald Physics and Core Power Tech. These are all complicated moves as the home we are moving into will not be ready until mid-August. In essence, we will have moved the house twice. UGH

Lynn asked me to help her by trying to move as much product as possible over the next two weeks. The metal and magnetics are VERY HEAVY so thusly we are going to have our first ever sale this year.

Please contact me for best price on our products. I will reply very quickly and get your unit(s) booked timely. We are almost caught up from last week’s business and I can quote exact delivery when we talk. Also - each of you purchasing during our sale will be afforded a wonderful coupon for DEEP CORE should you wish to get one. The first 65 DEEP CORES are running next week. We will be sending our our Beta Units again here shortly - but I'ver had four units under test here and they are magic. Works GREAT!

I will answer as quickly as possible.

Through this week I’m also answering the phones for Underwood Wally. Walter is in Tahiti sunning his buns (as if he couldn’t do that in Maui 😉)… and recouperating after successful Prostate Cancer Surgery. I am giving away all of his stuff while he is gone and I’m having a ball doing this…

OK – so lastly we are celebrating another wonderful review – this one on headphoneguru.com – Frank Iacone gave us a STELLAR review. Really excited about this as Frank explored what a wonderful product these EQUI=CORE’s are for headphones – link here -

http://headphone.guru/core-power-technologies-300-power-regenerator-conditioner/

Please note that the EQUI=CORE 300 is not a regenerator – cool… 😊

Thanks All,

Mark

@audioman58

Many thanks - YES, the Super Stroke PC's are a dominant product in the Price Class. We have compared these to many PC's in the $500 to $1000 dollar range and we are really thrilled with the results.

200 more set to arrive here today - We will have additional lengths in stock as well...

@oldhorse - super thanks to you - pleasure knowing a truly experienced audiophile such as yourself. Glad you are enjoying the product.

Best wishes,

Mark
I have a question for the group. I just hooked up a brand new 150 to my Int amp/powered dac. I find it a tad too upfront and vivid. Is there a burn in time? I like the increased detail, but the slight upfront nature is a little fatiguing. Not sure if the built in power cord needs time to settle in? Being too vivid is perhaps not something many would find distracting. Average records sound more bright.  I want it to relax a bit.......thanks all.
Hello grannyring,
I'll post this here also in case others are looking for similar information.
When I received my CPT-300 I did not think that it sounded bright or forward.
I’d say give it 25 hours of break-in time and see how it sounds then.
Out of the box, I did hear more details with in the music, but no brightness.
Something else to consider as an alternative if the break-in doesn’t help is run your unit to a power strip and then run your favorite power cord from the power strip to the component (s).
